Many have lost many lives due to our ancient culture and traditions, which are very diabolical, thanks to Christianity who came and wiped everything away.

Do you believe in all the traditions of your country? If yes, prove, No, share your thoughts with us

For me, I don't believe in all the traditions of my country because most of them are diabolical, and if temper with you, you will have everlasting cursed that will hunt you for the rest of your life.
Just imagine someone going to his village and a snake will come to visit and stay with him for a while, and that person is forbidden from killing that snake. Otherwise, he will face calamities.

I heard before we were born giving birth to twin is an abomination, and any family caught will maybe be banished from the village or they will have to kill one of the child.
They are many horror traditions that I don't believe and will never practice due to my Christian and Catholic faith.

Can you mention at most 3 Disgusting traditions of your country that you forbid and why?

Killing of twin: Children are blessing from God, and he decides when a family will have children. Sometimes, he blesses a particular family with 3, 4, or even 5.
Then, a particular tradition will see it as an abomination or a curse. This is a very disgusting practice, and I will never indulge myself in it.

Worshiping snakes: In some villages you are forbidden from killing snake because they see them as their God, this is same this that almighty you played a curse upon that he will crawl with his belly and if man see it he should kill it and vice versa.
But here in Nigeria, some village adore snakes, and when you kill any of them, your life will never remain thesame they will hunt you and your entire family and make sure you all suffer.
I just can't practice such disgusting traditions because I am a child of God.

Are traditions in your country still held in high esteem, or are they fading away?

The traditions in my country are gradually fading away because of the existence of Christianity in Nigeria.
Most Nigerians don't believe in all this because they are all Christian. We don't believe in all this practice as the teachings of Jesus christ are making us understand the importance of not believing in all these disgusting traditions.

We now have men of God who make us understand that all these things aren't necessary they are just diabolical practice.
Moreover, in some places that don't know about God, they still hold these traditions in high esteem, but the majority of Nigerians don't believe in this practice.

What are those occasions that demand traditions to be performed before they become legal?
  • Burial
  • Marriages
  • Coronation
  • Chieftaincy Titles

I am inviting @deepak99, @simonnwigwe, @josepha, @pandora2010 and @ripon0630 to participate in this wonderful contest
