The most Famous Festival Of My Country is the Argungu fishing festival This is a very wonderful and important festival in my country that showcases the beauty of the nation.
This festival is a festival that brings out different kinds of fish in our country. The one that catches the biggest fish will be awarded, and everyone will celebrate with the lucky fisherman.
The festival usually occurs towards the end of the year because by then, rivers and sea levels might have reduced due to the winter season, and they will be scarcity of rainfall so it will be easy for the fishermen to sight the biggest fish.
During this celebration, the whole country will observe it because people from and around the world will come to witness this colourful festival.
The significance of the festival is just fishing, I mean, during that period, fish will be sold at a very cheap rate, and you will find different kinds of fish.
In the aspects of traditions, they will be unique cultural attires that signify the tribe of every ethnic group.
The festival signifies the agriculture of our country, we all know that fish are very important in this world because they are used in making other substance.
The festival is celebrated with an open ceremony held and organised by the various kings, chief and cultural leaders of the country.
They will be a prayer to sanctity the event and also bring the presence of God to the ceremony.
In other aspects, all different ethnic group will dress on their local attires and also come one after the other to display the beauty of their culture.
They will be drama display, singing of music and also lost importantly dance showcases by all the ethnic groups, this is the part of the festival that I enjoy so very much because i will be well entertained.
In the aspects of food they will different local delicacy prepared on that day and when you eat or taste any food you will be very happy because they are all delicious.
All the good will be prepared with fish caught from that festival, some cultures use only fish to prepare delicious soup and when you taste it you will demand it all the time.
This is the largest fishing festival in Africa, you will see fishermen and women in Nigeria and also from our neighbouring counties coming to participate in the festival this is to show that it features mass fishing event.
It also has a wonderful cultural events you will see thousands of fishermen and women different kinds of local instruments to cath fish.

Well-done sir, festival are activities which are mostly annual and are done for unity and peace. As a Nigerian I like this fishing festival because it's has to deal with multiple people watching the fishermen catch fish, The argungu fishing festival is known throughout the country and Africa as well.
The mentality of the people are standard because it is only when sea levels have become low will the fishermen be able to catch the biggest fish because of a clear vision, selling the fish for people during the festive period at a cheap rate will help everyone afford bigger and healthy fish.
