I finished my grocery shopping without bags and a shopping cart.
Lotte department Store started a new checkout service at the grocery floor. They put the name 'smart shopper' above the checkout place. The section was next to the checkout and two assistants were standing to help people. Smart Shopper is a kind of one-way shopping process. I could complete my shopping from the choice of merchandise to delivery without a shopping cart and bags.
There are many Bar Code Readers. I picked one of them. There's a little speaker button on the reader, push the button first. A woman's voice says a number. I had to remember the number. When I want to buy a specific one of same materials, I had to go to a staff to give the picked one. I chose a spinach. I told a staff the number of my bar code reader and the staff put a sticker on the pack of spinach . I left it and just kept shopping.
The reader was a proper size with reassuring grip and fits.
The reader beeps with a red light when it accepts the barcode. Keep doing like this.
I could change a quantity and cancel to buy on the checkout machine. I could find more checkout machines inside, so it was convenient to correct my invisible basket. I remember that I could only complete a payment on the front of the entrance.
How does the small gadget with the checkout machine make my shopping so quick and convenient?
1. I don't need to walk through a crowd with a shopping cart.
2. I always put a chilled food, a frozen food and meat in my cart after buying other things. Sometimes, I have to come and go to a same place to buy a different thing. Yesterday, I didn't need to buy in my order. It wasn't matter to buy a frozen food first.
3. I don't need to spend much time at checkout.
4. It doesn't matter how many groceries I purchase because I don't carry.
5. They deliver three times a day. I can choose a delivery time I'd like to receive my ordered products.
After shopping, I finished some stuff I had to. I came back home in 2 hours. After a half of an hour, my order delivered well. Everything was perfect.
Thats is very cool! I hope this becomes available everywhere! Im in Canada, and havent seen or heard of it yet! I love the idea, and i dont need to carry my groceries! They get delivered! Awesome, im sure it will catch on inthe future!

Yes, this was new to me either. It seemed that the service did not interest their customers yet, but the service is too cool to ignore. I agree with you. People will love it.
Yes! I think once it catches on , people will really love it! Think how fast the lineups would go at the till! It would pretty well eliminate them, if even half the people shopped this way! I really like and i believe this will be the future , where cashiers are eliminated all together! Thanks again! ♨😉♨
