The mind is your most valuable resource. Here is why!
The greatest resource is not gold, diamonds or oil. It is the human mind and the engine of determination that drives it.
Today I was pulling off data from an older phone into a new one and while doing so I could not help but notice the massive divide in speed of the two. While one takes at least 30-40 seconds to load up, the other takes 10 seconds.
That made me think, at one point I thought 40 seconds was fast. I felt 40 seconds was blazingly fast. I never realized just how slow it was until I put it next to a device that was much faster and smoother.
The human mind is capable of amazing creativity and structured thought and combined with equally excellent minds that builds a hive-mind of unparalleled possibilities.
You see, the future does not exist. It is built on the scraps, mistakes and successes of the past.
The future is but an idea, a seed that needs to be watered consistently. Without the dedication or consistency the idea dies. The brain's creativity dies.
What I am trying to say is that, while we are routinely comfortable in our 'comfort bubbles' it is of significant importance to irrigate our minds with information.
Challenge your mind. Read something new. Learn a new skill. Repetition and routine is where happiness goes to die.
Pick up a book, buy a course or tackle that challenge that you have been putting off since you made your new year resolutions.
Do not let the monotony of work suck out the joy of life. After all, we did not manifest to just eat, drink, sleep and reproduce on repeat.
Breaking this cycle offers massive satisfaction and makes life more meaningful for those courageous enough to pierce the veil.
I would love to conclude all this with a quote from the Matrix.
"I'm trying to free your mind, Neo. But I can only show you the door. You're the one that has to walk through it."
-Morpheus
