The Diary Game || 13-04-24 || Farming, A Steemian's Milestone Celebration , Signing up and Mentorship

Dear Diary,

It was a Saturday, the busiest day of my life. **While people use Saturdays to rest, it's always a busy day for me. The night was really a hectic one because I was up throughout doing reviews upon reviews in steemkids and Parents community and steem4nigeria. The workload was really pressing due to activities done in the day which cramped my time and left me with the nights to complete these. The little hour I slept, I was awake by the sound of my alarm telling me to prepare for workout.

Morning Activities

I did my preparations to go out but something came up. There was an academic work I left undone and my client called that morning saying he'll need it for printing that morning. I had to sacrifice that time for workout to do this academic project. My eyes were eyeing so to speak.

This project took much of my time that I had to neglect some chores to make it done. When I delivered the project, I received a phone call from my mom who was in the farm telling me to come and assist her with the work. Hmmmmm, another workload that cramped my time. I suspended what I was doing at hand and then headed for the farm to offer assistance in clearing the farm and digging holes for Cassava planting.

It wasn't an easy job especially under the hot sun. The task was completed as you can see. Digging these holes weren't easy. It needed patience and endurance. We then took to harvesting what was left in the farm so we can use in the procession of fufu. This wasn't that easy though especially under the hot sun. At some point, I nearly felt like giving up. We then left the farm for the house.

When I got home, I took to embarking on another journey which was to iron my clothes in a community center which runs solar free of charge and also charge my phone. I left home for that place and discovered there was something serious going on there that morning.

From the gist, I could get that players from a particular town in my city played against those in my street and guess what? We got defeated. It wasn't just about the defeat but how confident this other team were. The troops of cars that came in were those of big men who wanted watching the match and they prepared a lot of eatables for their players as if they knew they would win the match. I started imagining they lost it. The embarrassment would have been sufficient.

Afternoon and Evening Activities

It was high to to leave and prepare for a celebration I will never forget. This celebration tailored a Steemian's achievements who through consistency and patience hit a 6x dolphin milestone, became a steem representative and also had her anniversary that same month. That's how I prepared at home and left to the agreed venue for the dolphin to arrive. I met @whizzbro4eva and we were the only people there not until @alli001 joined the trail.

This Nigerian time was just too much I said, so I made good use of the moment by doing some captures in preparation to the main captures. These are pictures taken before other steemians trooped in.

While taking some shots, I was shocked to see some newbies in person. I never expected these newbies with username @jeph001 and papabenji009. I spent some time conversing with them to know more. I also took pictures with them. Their presence alone justified the moments and @jeph001 added vibes to the moments with his laughter and eyes. I was like, this guy should venture into comedy because his laugh can be very contagious.

The likes of @mesola, @okere-blessing and their mentees showed up in no time but the dolphin wasn't still on board. A lot of people were just so shocked to see me in person. They never expected their boss would be of this height and size. @mesola narrated how @glorious1 was shocked seeing a picture of me. She thought I was someone big, reputable and probably a man who's catering for his own home. They never knew i was a small adult hiding in a big man's shell.

Other steemians like @ngoenyi, @jozzie90 and his friends/mentees, @samuelnkenta and co and many others. We were so thrilled to meet in persons, so we did a lot of capturing with the sunning sun as we await the dolphin to come on board. The following pictures describes how happy we were to get together as one big steemit family.

The moments were giving. @ngoenyi, the mentor of the proposed Boss was giving this hot vibes that resonated. I heard a hunk and suspected it would be the 6x steemit dolphin and she was with her driver. I arranged a grand entry for her which @goodybest was cover. Her presence alone filled the area with a big roar and happiness was just in the air. She came with her finely made cake of which she designed for this gathering.

This is a picture of the cake marking some achievements that are generalized. All thanks to steemit and steemians involved in encouragement and motivation.

I was the master of ceremony unknown to me. I never expected but I had to handle that task. I checked the agenda @goodybest arranged for this celebration of hers and then stuck to it. I started by welcoming everyone present and then asked the purpose of the meetup or gathering before giving the microphone to @goodybest, the celebrant to introduce herself.

The high table seaters were @benton3, @ngoenyi, @goodybest, @mesola and @okere-blessing all of which are dolphins on the platform. After her introduction, others followed suit. These are the users that were present for this celebration. Their usernames are shown. It was a 50/50 combination of both newbies and old users on the platform.

After the introduction, I posed a game of which the rules were steemit exclusive. Users needed data connection and their phones. The first person who got the exact steem power of goodybest receives 5 steems and guess who the winner was? @okere-blessing. She has been monitoring our wallets that she knows what we have even without her phone. 😁

@ngoenyi then set the ball rolling by **expatiating what steemit is all about to the users who are new on the platform which was still of benefit to us as old users. She pointed out to the fact that steemit is a social media platform and not an online business opportunity where one invest his or her money and then in few days or weeks, the site snoozes. She made this clear and it was very much appreciated.

Questions started trooping in of which @benton3 gave solid and clear answers to these questions to those having issues understanding certain terminologies on the platform. After the questions, I threw another game which was more like a remembrance test on our usernames before we moved to the cutting of cake with the celebrant.

The cake cutting was a momentous one so I had to do some captures and played a befitting song that would encapsulate the moment. The song is titled United. We were brought together or United so to speak because of this celebration. We spelt her name for the cake cutting and the below has part of the full meaning of her name.

The photographic moments came to stay and I was considered the photographer of the day. I did some order of photographs which are shown in the slides below. The popping of the wine and drinks took its place. The party just started. It was real fun I must admit. I thanked all those who made it to the celebration. I won't forget such moment in my life.

I didn't just end there, I introduced the attendant of that hotel we did the celebration to steemit and we both exchanged numbers. I also helped @mellorando do this achievement post that night before leaving for home.

Even with that stress, I took to mentoring my students on Steemit on wallet transactions and assignments on which they worked on**. These are screenshots of my mentorship group tutoring these steemians.
