The Diary Game || 4-01-26 || Mingling with People Above my Age, Attending an Impactful Meeting, etc.

It was the first Sunday of the month, year, and week. On Sundays, I usually go to worship God in his place of worship. Waking up to see this new day was enough reason to give God thanks for the gift of life. I woke up as early as 6Am to prepare for the meeting I had to attend that morning.

When it was time for the meeting, I left home for the place and sat down to listen with rapt attention. The theme of the talk delivered was Reasons why God doesn't answer all prayers. This was an interesting theme, and most people have been looking for the answers to this question. They even go to powerful men of God to seek answers to why their prayers remain unanswered.

One of the reasons why God keeps people's prayers unanswered is because of the following reasons, one of which is that most people don't show respect to God whom they pray to. How? Let me illustrate. If you are given the opportunity to talk to the president and ask him whatever you want to, will you shout and make your voice loud because you want to ask him for something? You'll definitely show respect by talking calmly and humbly to get a positive response. Most people feel that it's by shouting that they can get a hearing from God.

This doesn't show respect to the almighty. If you normal people can show respect when making requests, how much more the almighty, and all they do is request and request.

Another reason is that people pray against God's will. Their prayers aren't in line with the will of God, or they pray with the wrong motive. What do I mean?

You want to marry or give birth, and you're praying that God should consume your enemies and those who don't wish you well with fire. You tell God to punish them, whereas it's written in the scriptures that we should love our enemies and pray for them. If you're praying that God consume them with fire, it means you don't love them. God wants everyone to be saved and come to an accurate knowledge of the truth.

So if we're praying for their death, how will they be saved? Our prayers aren't in harmony with God's will. Another is if we're continuously doing wrongdoings, our prayers are detestable to the hearer.

Many other reasons were stated, though. These are just a few. After the talk, I took a picture of gadgets that got my attention. This is a laptop and an Infinix phone that looks like the latest iPhone 17 if not for the color being ash. I then took pictures with my friends before leaving home to prepare for a sit-out.

The Smedan Sit-out

Smedan is a non-governmental cooperative system that's upcoming, and we've been getting information from the Admins to run certain projects that can give us good pay. Most of us have benefited from government grants, loans, subsidies, and the like. So we set out a date to gather together and sit out at a bar. Honestly, it was the best day I ever had that Sunday because I got to know people better and connected with them.

On leaving the place, I didn't use Google Maps as I mostly do when going to strange places. When I arrived, I was totally on my own because I was the youngest person there. Every other person is not. It felt so strange for me to mingle with people way above my age. I just had to adapt. I was on my own at first, introverted and silent, until I became a tigress in human form. No one would even believe that I would blend into the age I was caught up with.

We started small, though, as other people were on their way down to the sit-out. While waiting, I was served drinks and barbecue. It was the first time this year I tasted barbecue. Trust me, I took pictures of the fish. It tasted nice. It was the first gathering where I ever interacted meaningfully with people above my age.

I took pictures of everyone on the seat and then focused on the ladies who were so excited that they got to get pictures from me using my phone. I then thought of ways I could make the gathering lively and memorable, as that's what I'm always good at. Just leave entertainment to me in this regard. I'm good.

I entertained the group with giveaways sponsored by the host. We had a good time, honestly. We ate dog meat and chicken with plantain after eating wraps of packaged suya. Talking of dance, I was shocked to see married men dance more than I did. Like??? There's a man that was just having this energy, an obvious energy that no one was able to compete with. He was good. See me?

I thought I knew how to dance. I learned perfection from this man. I was like, people don't really have shame, oh. 😁😁😁. Anyways, it was the best experience I ever had that day, the best Sunday ever.
