500 Strong! Thank you for the support!
Just yesterday I saw a post by @lilyraabe whom I had been part of the first session of #dolphinschool with. She was celebrating the fact that she had just reached 500 users.
I left her a comment with congratulations and mentioned the fact that I was close, but not quite there. Today when I woke up and logged in to Steemit I found that I had finally reached that milestone myself!
Thank you
I'd like to send out a great big thank you to all of you that have supported me over my past 3 months on Steemit. This has certainly been a learning experience for me and something that has definitely taken me out of my comfort zone.
I have never really considered myself a creative person. As a literature major in college for a short time though, writing has been something that has always intrigued me.
I am so blessed that I have been able to use Steemit as an outlet for exploring that curiosity.
My hope is that my faithful followers have seen an evolution over the past months in the quality and content of my writing. Steemit is a big deal, and posting content to it is a big responsibility.
With the increase of all things blockchain these days, I feel Steemit will be the template of how all other social media platforms are built on the blockchain.
Recognition where it is due...
I would be remiss if I didn't first mention @robrigo. My wife's cousin is the reason I am here. He introduced me to Steemit and got me on the platform through @agoric.systems. As a relative newbie, he is my blockchain hero and I frequently bug him with questions.
Secondly, I need to give a shout-out to @markrmorrisjr and @dolphinschool. I know I wouldn't be anywhere near having 500 followers without them. As a newer user of the system, I was struggling to find my place. I was putting out a lot of content that I thought would get me upvotes as opposed to content that was quality.
I was going to say I was putting out content I wasn't passionate about, but that isn't true. I was very passionate about it, but I wasn't putting the thought and time into developing it. The #dolphinschool that @markrmorrisjr ran helped me learn how to find and engage new followers. One of his lessons also brought about my longest running and most viewed series: Unlocking the Power of Chrome.
Additional thanks to @goldendawne who was a welcome user from my home state when I first started. She helped me get my feet under me and on my way to creating content. I'd also like to thank @thesteemengine, @ethandsmith, and @enchantedspirit / @theinbox for their continued support.
Finally, I need to mention @aschatria. They have been a wealth of information and I have become an active member of the @steemrepair group. They have an active Discord channel with a growing curation trail and lots of good stuff going on. You should check them out if you get the chance.
Congratulations and thank you for mentioning me and @steemrepair. It is nice to see a Steemian grow in a way you do.
Very nice! I am starting to see our Steemit "generation" (Jan 2018), getting to 500 one by one :D
I am very happy to see that we are growing and that we are growing while following the values of great communities. To many more successes in the future! Cheers!
For sure! Thank you!
Ahaha I'm a Jan-2018 with 300 followers! Now I feel like I need to catch up with our 'generation' lol.
Haha! You will get there, you put out some really good stuff!
500 is a nice milestone. Congratulations.
It's always nice to meet peeps that are on the same timeline as me. Not to compare, but just to know that 'hey, that guy is slugging through the same things I am'. It is my pleasure to have 'seen you around'.
Serious question. How many people do you think Goldendawne and Aschatria have helped? I know two for an absolute fact :)
Thanks for a great post my friend.
I think it would be hard to count or quantify how many they have helped both directly and indirectly. They are definitely good people. Thank you for the kind words and the great comment!
Congrats on your milestone, let it be more and more great followers.
Thank you!
Congratulations! It's nice to have people that you know and help you out in a new community. I think every person has creativity - maybe at different levels, but every person is capable of creativity. Here's luck to many more followers :)
Thank you! I appreciate your kind words.
Yey I am part of that 500! Your story of going on your life and writing in Steemit is just awesome.
I always look forward to your posts! Keep Steeming!
Thank you, I follow you as well! Your support is appreciated!
Congratulations! Steemit really is a place where it is important to build community and to participate!
Thank you!
Congrats! Enjoy the rest of the journey! I'm part of the same generation (Jan 2018).
Thank you!
