Balasi Ghat is a scenic spot. This ghat is located on the banks of the river Jamuna. Railway Ghat Load-Unload Station is located here.

The ghat or seaport at Balasi Ghat was shifted to Balasi Ghat or the seaport at Kanchipara in Fulchhari Upazila due to river erosion and siltation. Since then it has been known as Balasi Ghat or Seaport.

This ghat or seaport carries goods to different parts of the country and even abroad. Its natural beauty is very beautiful and pleasant. Earlier, big ships, launches and steamers used to come to Fulchhari Ghat. Although the English lords did not know the name of Gaibandha, they knew Fulchhari Ghat.
