Prospecting

Hi Friends,

I recently got to do some gold prospecting in Arizona with my metal detector. I had a fun day hiking and exploring but, ultimately, found no gold.

Here are a couple of scenery and plant pics:

With the area I was in being a known gold bearing district and with a large active mining operation very close by, I did find a couple of old mine sites. Here is one:

I do this for fun and the risk of entering abandoned mines is not worth it for me (and I was alone) so I opted to not explore the underground tunnels.

I did take some samples from a quartz vein, which my detector was not hitting on, but which could have gold in it - I will have to crush that up and pan it out sometime soon.

Better luck next time!

Thanks for coming by,
Brian

Your journey is very beautiful in which you can enjoy the journey and keep sharing such moments.

Hello brother! I have been searching for gold with metal detectors for 12 years, sometimes I was lucky. Finding gold is always a pleasure. The main thing is not to get sick with the "Gold Rush". There should be a society of search enthusiasts with a metal detector here
