Why do we change?
Sometimes in life, there comes a time for change. We as teenagers get to a point in time, where we want to impress other people just for them to like you, and if you don't do the same as them, you are like an outsider. We as people hate being judged for who we truly are, and then change to someone who you are not just to 'look cool'.
There are also times where we start to change for the good. People change based on their religion and some change for a better, healthier life. We make the choice to be a better person than we are.
But can we change on our own, or does something trigger us to make the change?
Jeremiah 13 : 23
"Can the Ethiopian change his skin or the leopard its spots? Then may you also do good who are accustomed to do evil."
To make the change in our lives, we need to get our minds set to make the change. We need to think bigger, wider and wilder than our imagination. We want to change, and with God by your side, you will change to be a better person. He will live through you, where you will then follow God and His rules to be the better person.
No matter who you are or how difficult it may seem to make the change, it is still possible. Jesus will help you. How we change on the inside, will reflect on how other people see us from the outside.
1 Corinthians 15 : 51-52
"Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."
When Jesus comes, He will change the views of so many people who did not believe. Those who couldn't see, would see again. But they would see so much more than what they had seen before.
We will all change at some times in our lives. But God, He will remain the same. He will change us or the better. He will make us reign.
Psalm 102 : 25-26
"Of old You laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of Your hands. They will perish, but You will endure; Yes, they will all grow old like a garment; like a cloak You will change them, and they will be changed. But You are the same, and Your years will have no end."
Make the change, live a better life with Christ, and He will live through you. You will adapt a new outlook on life, and realize the beauty of our world.
