Clearly Steemit Inc. is supportive of Haejin based on their downvoting policies. I was letting my SP sit pretty much idle during my power down, but have decided to be a good community member and vote on haejin instead. Might as well front run the big ranchorelaxo vote for curation while giving the Steem community the positive support it desires!
I still can't bring myself to do that. I'll support those who deserve it, but do what you like.
Yeah, I hear you. It’s utterly distasteful but I can’t find a good side to Steem anymore regardless. I just don’t want to encourage good content on a bad platform, and also believe most of who & what I’d support still on Steem is at risk of being downvoted to zero by Steemit Inc. anyway. I was happy to do nothing but quietly power down, no shitposting, crossposting, milking, voting, etc. while I made my way out, but as the no downvotes/no stake freeze crew has assumed the mantle of power and completely reversed their opinions, I see no reason not to take my curation rewards on the way out while encouraging bad actors to stay here on Steem. Haejin’s posts are perfectly timed to maximize use of voting power, highly unlikely to be contested by current leadership, and it’s easy to frontrun the big ranchorelaxo vote which he delays to keep from oversaturating trending. When in Rome... 🤷♂️
