do you leave a finger print at the scene of the crime? skin pores produces oils and sweat which are distributed on our fingers, when you touch something ,those liquids are left on the surface, on the shape of our fingers.

Finger prints have fascinated people of centuries, they have been used as a method of identification since ancient times.

But where do finger prints came from? Is it true that they are all different? If you look closely to a fingerprint , you will notice that it is made up of ridges on skin, theses ridges is not always contineous, they stop, split into two, and even across to each other at times. These individual features that makes different between fingerprint and the next.

Finger prints are formed before birth, during the development of the hands. Fingerprints are not actually formed in the skin, but are caused by the ridges in the flesh underneath the skin, genetics plays some part in ther formation, even identical twins have different fingerprints.

Fingerprints falls into set number of patterns, which allows us to cataloge and perform searches more easily.
