🙌🏽Sublime Sunday🙌🏽 An excuse to post your random, creative or crazy ideas by @c0ff33a ☕️
Welcome to #SublimeSunday , a tag presenting you with the unique opportunity to post something a bit different, wacky, crazy or just whatever takes your fancy and instigated by me @c0ff33a ☕️
First up though is a #beautifulsunday (hosted by @ace108) photo with a #funkyedit (hosted by @krazypoet) with Saturation to the Max.
The sun has finally made a last gasp in the UK before Autumn set's in, we have had a few days of hot sunny weather so I took the time out to take my boy and his friends magnet fishing again.
From my previous mention of magnet fishing, it appears the activity isn't as commonly known about as I thought it was. So basically, to magnet fish you need a strong magnet (this is a 360kg break point double sided magnet) and rope to tie it to. Then basically you throw the magnet into a body of water (lake, river, canal) and drag it back and see what metal objects you have caught with it.
We started off back at the park lake where I lost the last magnet (the hook unscrewed from it while it was being pulled in), I was hoping to fish it back with the new stronger magnet.
Being such a sunny day we had plenty of people walking around the lake, and taking interest in our unusual exploits throwing a weighted rope into the lake. Most of the younger children were waiting to see a fish being pulled out - they were in for a surprise.
This was unusual, a large metal spike - it had a very pointy end - maybe some sort of fence post.
One by one we pulled out these spanners, it makes you wonder why someone would throw these into a park lake!
This caused some speculation amongst the boys, prosthetic leg or robot's foot? I actually think it is what was used by shoe makers previously to form the shoe shape as they made them.
After the park, we headed to the big lake to try our luck for more treasures.
We found some coins at the lake, and bizarrely a car exhaust - which I didn't photograph because it was a bit big!
Super weather for it though, not so warm thanks to it being autumn, but pleasant enough.
And then we found a fishing stool, it's not often you can fish yourself a seat.
A bit slimy but fully working!
Other treasures we found a fishing lure.
5 pence piece
I thought it might be old, and then saw 2015 on it!
2 pence piece, well corroded
So we didn't exactly find a fortune magnet fishing, but the day certainly turned up some interesting finds.
A #funkyedits to finish of the lights in Blackpool.

The greatest challenge we face on Steemit is getting our posts seen, I have always believed the simplest and best value way of doing this is by commenting on the blog posts of others, the more you engage people and interact with them the greater the chance they will visit your own blog and return the favour. Other then spending all my free time commenting on Steemit posts, I also distribute coffee roasting machines and also espresso coffee machines and roast my own Speciality Coffee Range. being one of the premium coffee suppliers Yorkshire including a wide range of filter coffee sachets

That magnet looks bit teeny weeny. Oh, you lost it.
Cannot imagine why people will throw in a spanner as you. Only hope they are not getting rid of murder weapons. Guess i watch too many CSI programmes.
It’s got a 360kg break point - I can’t imagine trying to pull something more then 30kg though - it would be like dragging a sack of green coffee through the water!

Such awesome finds, and it looks like it was a wonderful day! I'm glad to hear you managed one last fishing hurrah during summer's last gasp.
As always, thanks for hosting this tag. !tip steem

Magnet fishing. This is the first time I heard of it. Very interesting indeed. I don't like fishing, never did. But magnet fishing - I am in, anytime. Could there be a murder weapon amongst the haul. 😊
Beautiful lake, beautiful weather, beautiful pictures! Simply sublime and beautiful Sunday! 😊
It’s funny you say that, my neighbour says we should be going to the city canals to fish out guns and knives! I think cleaning out the park lake of debris is more constructive though.
