One of the things that we like the most is being able to expand our nursery with the reproduction of cacti and succulents, this time we are going to talk about the transplant that we carry out with some small cuts of children of mother plants that we have in our nursery.

It is important to note that according to the care you give with the fertilizer, the irrigation, the sun exposure, the substrate and all these components United work hand in hand and we achieve that our plants grow healthy and strong producing many more children in this way we will achieve the expansion of our nursery thus acquiring new specimens for sale.

The first thing you should know is that when separating the children from the mother plant you must do it very carefully once the plant starts you must leave it to heal for 3 days this point is very important because according to good healing you ensure life of the new seedlings achieving a good growth in it, then after letting them heal as we said before for 3 days you can specifically sow them again in the substrate.

What happens because this healing technique should be applied?

It is important to know what is the process of separating cactus children once we separate them from their mother plant, we are going to cause a superficial wound due to the start of the stem, that is why the wound should be allowed to heal so that at the moment When sowing it in the substrate, we must avoid any microorganism that could damage our new plant from entering, that is why it is called a healing process that lasts around 3 to 4 days after this you can sow the plant in the substrate and apply irrigation Two days after having sown it in this way we make sure 100% that the wound that we produce in the cut has dried well.

This time we show several species of cacti to which we carry out the transplant, we have mamillary opuntia huernias among others, little by little we are sowing each one until creating uniformity in all the seed containers, it is important to mention that once we place the plants inside the Containers and the substrate we must water one or two days later we must also remember that for the new rooted and for it to fixate on its new substrate, it takes about 15 or 20 days for them to fixate there.
