Today marks the first day that people have been able to pull out 1/12 of their steem power into steem versus the old 1/108 system that was in place. As you can already see, the price has fallen and I don’t expect it to stop soon. Now is the time where we need to put our faith in the system and continue to contribute even if the rewards might not be as much as you might want or expect. Over the next three months we will likely see many people who wanted to exit their positions from the beginning do so, but I have faith that after that point, we will start to see a rise again in the price.

The most important thing that is going to happen is that we are going to see the redistribution of high wealth individuals who were not participating in the system, to many smaller holders, which in large is very good for the system. This means that rather than one person possessing a vote of say $100 we will see many people will smaller votes of a few cents to a dollar have the ability to influence posts in the future, which means better content for all of us. During this three months of what I expect will be lower priced steem, it is going to be the best time to load your account up with steem or steem power.

In addition, now is the best time to continue writing articles and contributing to the system because many people stop writing when the payouts in dollars are low, but you still will earn an amount of vests that will equal a larger amount when the price goes up. After three months and most people who have fully cashed out have redistributed their wealth, I believe we will slowly start to see a rise in the steem price and payouts on posts. So if you were posting the entire time, you will have a decent amount of steem power once the system picks up again.

In the efforts of transparency, I might make one cash out to pay off my loan debts and Christmas presents, but more likely than not I will be waiting the three months and continuing to post and acquire steem power. There most likely is a price floor that many people wont sell at, but im not sure what that price will be and im sure there are some who are eager to exit their position either way. This doesn’t reflect badly on the system, this is just how things work with everything, you have some investors who only want to be in for a short period of time, then exit. Because now with the lowered interest rate on steem power, requiring people to actually be active, you also have people who will most likely do nothing at all. So my advice for the upcoming three months is to keep calm, keep writing articles and don’t even bother with the price. If you feel so inclined, pick up some steem because I think in six months time you will be glad you did.

Part 2: 1000 Follower Thank You

So the other day I hit 1000 followers and I wanted to express how much this means to me. I can admit that I have never been immensely popular on social media and just having a reason to write and create content everyday really makes me thankful for Steemit and the community here. I hope that those o you who are reading and commenting are enjoying my content and you can look forward for more to come in the future because regardless of the price I will continue putting in the time for all of you. I have been busy the past few weeks and not able to respond to as much of the comments I would like to , but know I read EVERY single one and appreciate the feedback and comments on the articles I write. Most of my articles come to me by just being out there and experiencing things so as long as I keep doing that, I will continue to write articles. From the bottom of my heart, thank you, to every follower I have and I hope that you continue to enjoy the content to come.
