Calella Rockfest challenge: hiring a band with Steemit Upvotes. Post#5 "How musicians go to the concerts"
When you hold a festival, you see things that in other circumstances you don't notice. If you go to a concert you see the band playing but don't see how they have arrived or how they leave the place. Are they arriving to the venue all in the same way? Nooo! Let's see some of the ways they arrive:
The young local band
If you see an old car full of instruments, amplifiers... it will be for sure the local band. If it's a band with young members, then, the car is from an older friend of them, the friend who likes drink beer and party, so after the concert he won't be in condition to drive.
But the young band sometimes has the hard support of the family so sometimes you'll see a Mercedes or a BMW in front of the venue, is when you think that the headliner is over there, but no, it's from the parents of one of the young members of the band that will use the best car in the family to carry on the dirty drum kit and the heavy amplifiers. Well, they do it the first or second concert, after this, they buy a van for the kid.
The veteran local band
They have made lots of km. with small cars and when they have the chance to buy a second hand "new car" definitely want a van. But of course they can't buy a big one so a minivan is enough, well enough for the drum kit and the bass amplifier, the rest of the band need another car.
The national band
A band that plays a lot of gigs but in a relatively small region use to rent a van, but they drive the van themselves. It's a way to save money not having to take three cars full of instruments and amplifiers. They are happy to travel together and sing traditional & kids songs while going to the town where the concert is (sometimes they also writte new songs).
The semi-professional band
The members have their own jobs, but a couple of months a year go on tour around the continent or even fly to another continent to tour there. They "buy" the van + driver + merchandising seller pack so they can focus on playing music while there is a person who acts as road manager & driver. They are happy to tour around even that if they can't play in big venues, most of the money will go on gasoline and paying the road manager. But the good thing is that they have a good van that don't have to drive.
The professional band
A professional band that use to play lots of gigs all year long wants to be an owner of a vehicle to go on tour. In some countries, the best choice is an old bus to be refurnished with all the commodities that a rock band needs, a good fridge to cool down the beers and some beds to... (sleep???).

The next-big-thing band
From time to time music press need a next-big-thing band to give some attention (and try to sell more magazines). This kind of band goes from zero to one-hundred in a few months so they don't assume this growing and want the best stuff. When they go on tour they'll want the best de-luxe tour bus with all facilities (including a cook).
The big worlwide band
The big bands have a huge range of vehicles to go on tour, but the essential one is its own bus "sleeper". Going from town to town when they are not far away one from another is better with a good sleeper than by plane so they have all facilities in his own bus. But they also use other kind of transportation.
The worlwide famous bands can also have their own plane
And finally, you have the worlwide band with a captain on board, the one and only Bruce Dickinson!
Do you know any other ways of transport that use the bands?
