How To Become A Talented SteemHunter
Introduction
Just less than two years into the steem blockchain, no doubt steemhunt has been the most used dapp on the steem blockchain, and has broken some records in the dapp ecosystem at large.
Upon gaining massive adaptation after the delegation of over 1.5m steem power lot of amateurs, non-geeky folks and including non-steemians hooping into the moving train without knowing where it started or it's destination, this led to hunts that were totally out of point or poor quality hunt based on the fact that everyone came for the money and had no time to even glimpse through the posting guidelines or even care if the project had a white paper maybe because of it all happened during the season of airdrops and ICOs, but luckily for some of us who adhere to the posting guidelines outpost came out flawless to a certain extent that the posting sounded like a nursery rhyme, so on this post I'll try to simplify the steps and guidelines to take to become talented steemhunter.
Who is a talented steemhunter?
Firstly, becoming a talented steemhunter requires no skill or professionalism in any field anyone can actually become a talented steemhunter irrespective of his/her field.
For one to be called a talented steemhunter, he/she has to understand the posting guidelines of steemhunt and probably done some reading about steemhunt.
Paying respect to my aforementioned definition being a talented steemhunter just takes only dedicated and time investment with zero investments, apart from that speed is also considered as an attribute attached to a talented steemhunter, so far as I know steemhunt has always been a platform for gold-rush, a hunter can be good at hunting products considered as cool but if not fast to post will always end up being a duplicate hunter.
places to dig for cool products..!
I guess this is one secret most hunters hate to share cause is more like a secret weapon, "everyman with his gun"
well, it turns out i'm not that afraid to give out all my hunting grounds so here are some places i will recommend for anyone who is new to the steemhunt platform:
- kickstarter
- indiegogo
- youtube
- producthunt
The list above has the four major sites where majority of the products in steemhunt has been coming from, kickstarter and indiegogo are crowdfunding platform for products and start-ups and stands a chance of being the first place most products surfaces.
Youtube is one app that has everything anyone needs just based on your interest, in my early days as a steemhunter i started watching videos about products and upcoming products too and I automatically started getting alerts for new products.
Producthunt is more like the first generation of steemhunt, mainly where the team actually got the idea and for existing for over 5years now, definitely has a very large database of products.
Expectations and requirements to qualify a steemhunt post as a cool one
The main fact why the steemhunt community is a catchy one is because of its expectations based on creating a steemhunt post, I guess many fail to understand the logic and end up stressing themselves while making a steemhunt post.
The idea behind steemhunt is to dig for cool product and make your post as cool and simple as the product you hunted not trying to force in words or advertising for the product, a hunter can simply hunt a product and mark out the disadvantages and it will be accepted.
For the requirements, it takes just simply logical reasoning to scale through
- make sure it isn't a duplicate
- use quality images
- you're running out of words?, quote from the product site
Hunt getting approved, not that hard..!
yea, i also got that nervous feeling like a noob to the hunt platform but it turns out that most of the mods turn out to be nice.
Firstly as you have to do is to make sure your post isn't a duplicate cause that seems to be the problem between hunters and mod, if you're well assured sit back and wait for a mods comment and decision before rushing to lay a complaint.
interacting with the community and hunters
Steemhunt has so many social media platform for interaction between the hunters, community and team ranging from
- @steemhunt, blog here on steemit
- github
- telegram
- discord, aka "where it happens" as been addressed by one of the team members
Understanding the hunt token
unlike any token or coin out there the hunt token stands no chance of being predictable but can be understood by hunters in the sense that it determines hunters hunt score, here is quite self understandable, the larger the stake, the higher the probability of the hunt score to be high apart from that it is more like any other coin/token on the coinmarketcap and stands unpredictable.
Getting ready for review hunt
Most of the resources and efforts from the team for quite some time now has been channelled to review hunt which has posed to be the next big thing on the steem blockchain
My advice to all alpha reviewers and enthusiast is to use this waiting period to build up their social media accounts and get ready, 62 companies have signed up already with the aim of spending over 500 thousand dollars so it's a brace your self-issue

Hey Camzy, thank you for your contribution to Steemhunt project. Steemhunt is a fantastic project, and it is nice to see people writing about it.
Your title describes the content of the post. It's more like a tutorial for newbies. After going through the post, I can say, you provided some great tips for other members of the community. However, to balance this post, it would have been better if you had shared more about your experiences using the platform.
On the presentation side, the post had issues. Your first paragraph contains only two sentences, and lacks some important punctuation. Here is a sentence.
That is too hard to read. It could have been 3 or 4 sentences depending on the phrasing. I would advise you to work on your writing. Short and concise sentences are easy to read/understand.
Also, It is essential that you source any external image you used in your publications.
Thank you!
