What Is Flower Bees
Flower bees are the bees that are attracted by flowers and so, they visit those flowers for the purpose of nectar and pollen. Nectar and pollen are sources of food for the bees. The nectar provides energy to the bees, while pollen is a source of protein.
Aside from the flowers being the source of food for the bees, the constant visit of the bees helps in what we call pollination. Pollination is the transfer of pollen grain from the stigma to the anther of another flower which helps in fertilization and seed reproduction.
NOW THE DRAWING
Materials Used For Drawing
- Plain A4 paper
- Pencils
- Colours
- Eraser
- Sharpener
Step 1
I drew the head of the bee and the pear of wings (forewings and hindwings) on the right-hand side using a pencil.
Step 2
I drew the two compound eyes and shaded the eyelids black. I also drew a pair of wings on the left-hand side; I drew a pair of antennae, a nose and a mouth. Finally, at this step, I drew the tiny lines on the wings.
Step 3
I drew the thorax and the abdomen of the bee which are attached to the head. I also drew the forelegs.
Step 4
Here, I drew the middle legs and the hind legs. I also shaded the thorax and part of the abdomen.
Step 5
I drew the flower that attracted the bee. I began with the big flower and then the small ones around it.
Step 6
I shaded the bee. I used a yellow colour to shade its wings, the face and legs. I also shaded the thorax using a pencil, yellow and orange colour.
Step 7
I shaded the flowers. I began with the big flower, which I shaded yellow with a touch of green colour, and finally, I shaded all the remaining flowers green.
