Achievement Two(2) Task: Fundamental Security on Steemit!
Hello Steemians,
My best of regard to you guys. I am very much delighted to enlighten us on one the most talked about aspects on Steemit; Security!
Security is the consciousness to safeguard one’s longings out of the reach of miscreants who unauthorizedly invaded our privacy. Thus, a strict protection to one’s account and login details is overemphasized on Steemit!
The keys one needs to assess his or her account is unique to everyone and a need for the keys to be well understood as their usage is specific to it’s function.
Below are the vital keys and their respective functions;
⚪️Master Password Key: This password helps one to generate all other keys. It is used for transactions and also recovery lost account.
⚪️Posting Key: This is the key that is frequently used log into one’s account on Steemit. As its name suggests, it helps in posting, commenting, editing and voting on post on the Steemit platform.
⚪️Active Key: This key can also be called transactions key in that it help in transfer of token, power up and power down and converting Steem Dollar. It can also be used to vote for witnesses and publish witness price feeds.
⚪️Owner Key: It is an essential key on Steemit in that, it is used to reset all other keys namely posting, owner and active keys. This key can also be used to recover account and as well decline voting rights.
⚪️Memo Key: The memo key is used to deliver an encrypted message and as well view and read an encrypted message.
If a key is copied and pasted in the password log as shown above, one can successfully log onto Steemit yo execute a task!
I hope my explanation rendered help us to effectively use these login keys well. Additionally I entreat everyone to keep these keys private by locking it a web cloud or burning it on a compact disk.
