AT&T anuncia parceria com BitPay e começa a aceitar pagamentos em bitcoin
A maior operadora de telefonia, internet e TV por assinatura dos Estados Unidos acaba de anunciar que agora aceita pagamentos de suas contas com criptomoedas através do BitPay.
“Nós temos clientes que usam criptomoedas e estamos felizes de oferecer uma forma de pagar suas contas pelo método que preferirem”, anunciou Kevin McDorman, vice-presidente da companhia.
Mais de 370 milhões de clientes poderão selecionar a opção de pagamento com BitPay e escolher pagar com Bitcoin ou Bitcoin Cash, as criptomoedas disponíveis no serviço que oferece intermediação de pagamentos para empresas como Microsoft, airBaltic, Neteller, Virgin e Shopify.
No final de 2018, a AT&T já havia anunciado que está trabalhando em soluções utilizando a tecnologia blockchain em parceria com Microsoft e IBM.
