Myjob Website - Connecting Job Seekers with Job Providers

Myjob is a website that is meant to bridge the gap between job providers and job seekers in Nigeria. The idea for this project came up when I traveled to Kaduna State and wanted someone that will handle the electrical connection in my room, I had to start asking so many people where to get get a good electrical engineer who could do the job. Then at that moment I thought of creating something that will bridge that gap. A website where you can search for available workers of a particular job in a specified location which will be included in the search. This gave birth to MYJOB website.

The website was designed to have a store also where registered users on the website can showcase sample of items they intend to sell so that adding to the job bridging of the website, it can also serve as a market to buy and sell within Nigeria in your own specified location.

In addition, myjob website also has a page called vacancies, here unemployed job seekers looking for employment will see job vacancies and as well apply with their credentials.

Technical Overview of Myjob Website

Myjob website was made functional with some technologies in the area of web design and development. It was built with HTML5, CSS, jQuery and JavaScript. The backend of the website will be handled using PHP(opensource) and MySQL will be used for the database management.

Graphical Overview

* Home Page

The landing page of every website is the homepage. It is the first page you see when you visit a website and it provides link to other pages of the website. The homepage also tells you all you need to know about a website in a concise write up.

* Store Page

This is where users will see sampled items for sell.

* Login Page

The Login page is meant for registered users on the myjob website. Login Privileges include; the ability to advertise the job you do, upload items you wish to sell, create a vacant job space.

* SignUp Page

This page was created for users to register on myjob website in order to have access to the myjob user privileges.
