Hi, friends!
I am new to this community, thus, this is my first post. My name is Cathy and I have been to 7 countries in 2022, because I had to flee from war in Ukraine. If you are interested, please continue reading))
Today I want to tell about my experience of visiting Alicante city, which is located on the South of Spain, about 100 km from Valence.
I have had an amazing time exploring one of the country's biggest film studios - Ciudad de la Luz, or Ciutat de la Llum in Valenciano Spanish. In English it's called The City of Light. In general, folks are not allowed here, but I obtained access because of certain conditions.
The Impossible (2012) was shot here!
But I took time to move closer to the flowers, because they're truly worth a look! As an Orthodox Christian, I think that nature is truly a God's gift and observing it gives us much rest.

Oleanders gained huge popularity in this place :) There are tree blobs, shrubs, pink, white and red ones - literally every kind of them!
Trees along the parking road
These ones are my favorite - so aesthetic!
And here is 'the Spanish señorita' - that's how I call them :)
I am fond of albicias, because they are common in my hometown and their fragrance is miraculous.
Simple orange roses above and a rosa gigantea (giant rose) below - it's really giant if you get closer!
This ginger buddy is Texas lantana - such a bold one!
Polygala myrtifolia, or Mirtle-leaf Milkwort - its petals are very soft.
This super bright I-don't-know-what :)
And finally, a little asteriscus (aster) and... echinocactus that got me smiling :)
The flora observation at Ciudad de la Luz was beautiful :)
Thank you so much for reading! Stay healthy.

What happiness, you reminded me of Alicante. I spent many summers in that area and have wonderful memories. Have a good evening.🌈
