Before and After Contest | Giveaways and Souvenirs From A Used Plastic Cups.
Finally! After for how many hours of thinking of what I need to make for my daughter's birthday I came up with this practical and creative idea because I really need to save money for our future expenses.
I'm just sharing my idea to everyone specially to those people who are also on a tight budget. Hopefully you can also get an idea on what I will make.
Materials that we need to prepare:
- Plastic cup
- Ribbon
- Glue gun & Glue Sticks
- Scissor
- Cotton
- Any beads / shells
- Toothpick
I will give you a step by step guide how to make a plastic cup souvenir. This project can be completed in less than an hour but I suggest if you have someone with you then the both of you will make it so it will become a bonding in your family.
Step 1: Get the plastic cup and use the scissor to cut the upper part of it maybe have or a 3/4 size of the cup (depends on you of how big the cup you like). Make sure to cut the plastic cup properly so you can get a good result.
Step 2: Get the upper part of the plastic cup (the one you cut earlier), take the hard part of the cup and it will become the handle of our baskets. Cut it in the middle so you can form a letter C on it. Afterwards cover the whole part with a ribbon to make it look elegant.
Step 3: Get the bottom part and the hard part of the plastic cup that you cut earlier. Now prepare to glue it together so it looks like you have a basket. Make sure that the handle will be glued in the inside part of the bottom plastic cup so it looks nice.
Step4: Take a ribbon and cut it maybe around 12 inches or 1 ruler and start making some ribbon design. It's up to you on how big or small you gonna make, just make sure that it will fit on your basket.
Step5: Cover the outside part of the basket with the ribbon that you have. It depends on you on how you make the designs, it will measure your creativity.
Step 6: Place the cotton inside the plastic cup, the more the merrier. Cover the whole cup with the buds so they will not see the inside of it since we don't cover it with ribbon.
Step7: Place the toothpick in the middle. This will serve as the foundation of our printed pictures that we will put in the future.
Just simple as 1-2-3 you now have a Plastic Cup Souvenir that you can use in your birthday or baptism. Hopefully you can also make this one. Looking forward to it.
You need to spend so much money just to make a birthday special. You just need to be creative & knows how to find ways to make it beautiful.
