Bruno – No More | Our loving Doberman Pinscher බෘානෝ ඔබ අද නෑ 😥
It was early in the morning. I opened the door for him to return inside. No one was there. I put the outer light on and went outside to shout his name. No sign of his presence. An unknown fear ran through my soul. Several times I shouted his name. He was not here and there. It had never happened for the last two years.

When the morning sun shines I went to near areas in searching him. He was not there. Then I knew that he was in danger. I told my elder son to search more and update any information if get and hurried to work place.
At about noon I received a call from my elder son. In a crying voice, he told me that our Bruno was no more. He was found dead in an abandoned agricultural well which is more than 500m away from our home. The landowner had taken away his body from the well with help from others. I couldn't control my tears. Those tears from the bottom of my heart and it was so painful. I wanted to cry out loud. I lost my faithful, loyal and lovely brother.
We had a female German shepherd dog. We fed her with expensive nutritious dog foods but never grown to the real standards. She was very lean. It was a crossbreed one. In her estrus stage, she had broken her cage and went with stray dogs. This was a very annoying situation for us. We agreed with a pet seller to exchange her with a Doberman pinscher male puppy.
We were happy about the exchange of dogs. Finally, we went to Vavuniya to bring our new puppy.
He was the weakest and ugliest puppy we had ever seen. Very weak, could not run fast and many rashes on his skin too. It was a true example of the Raigamaya & Gampolaya folk tale. We both were happy thinking we had fooled each other but we had fooled only ourselves.

He had a wonderful smile featured in the Doberman dog breed. Before his death, he smiled at me often without any reason. I feel very sad once I believe it.

Villages told us someone poisoned him and dropped him at the abandoned well. We guessed it may be true because he was a brave guard dog.
We buried his body in the evening.
Losing such an important partner in the family was never easy.
"If there are not any dogs in heaven, Then once I die I would like to travel where they went"

Thank you. Only the "dog lovers" know, how painful it is. We still couldn't get rid of those feelings. Pet safety is one of the most important factors to be in our future plannings.

When I read this, I was reminded of the "timmy" in our house. 🥺 How sad we are when our pets die .. That is the lesson they taught us.
Thank you. This is what we should always keep in our minds. If they lose how can we bear their demise? Their safety is important too. If we had a boundary wall he never will have a chance to go out.

Every pet lover should feel this pain. Bruno, Heidi now we have Caysey an amazing Silky Terrier. The thing is how much we attached to them but it is unavoidable. They always our family members.
