SEC S11W3: “Show your originality".
Greetings from the motherland-Cameroon to all friends of the Colombia-Original community. Another week of the engagement challenge is here, and I'm happy to share content concerning the topic “Show your Originality”.
This is a platform where sharing original (premium) content is well appreciated. Originality also comes with lots of creativity, which makes your content unique. I think this topic was timely given the rate at which users get involved in content farming and the use of AI to generate content.
What do you think sets you apart as a Blogger?
There are several things that I think as a content creator, should set you apart from other bloggers. The following factors make me a unique blogger:
- Creativity: I always ensure to be creative in my content. Creativity means, bringing up topics that are eye-catching to the reader. Most often, I create content on topics that deal with common happenings in our society.
- Originality: Unlike other authors whom I sometimes consider to be lazy in using chatGpt to create content, I always strive for original ideas.
- Presentation of content: This is another reason I think sets me apart from other bloggers. The manner in which a blogger presents her content matters a lot to the reader. Good content distinguishes itself from the way it is presented.
- Content Editing: I always ensure to edit my content before posting. Unlike other bloggers who are in a rush to post, I take my time to edit my content before posting. As a blogger, do not be in a hurry as if you are a journalist in a rush to be the first to break the news 😆😆. Your uniqueness stands in the quality of the content created.
What does it mean to you to be Original?
As I earlier made mentioned, originality in content creation as a blogger is very essential. Being original means you create content based on your ideas and not copying or paraphrasing someone else content.
Originality in content creation also means that the images you used should be your images. However, using of non-copyrighted images is allowed but bloggers should give sources to the images because it is not their original images.

I have shared several original contents on the steemit platform, ranging from contests which instruct users to share original content based on the happenings in our daily lives and society.
Some of the most original posts I made were dealing with “Cameroon cuisine”. I used this as a means to share different traditional delicacies in Cameroon.
I also, hosted contests on medical issues in our country where I required participants to share ideas on whether patients should be neglected in cases where they are unable to pay for treatment.
Moreover, I share my daily activities in the form of diary games. This is one of the easiest ways to share original content on the platform.

Before I concluded my entry post to the contest, permit me to share with you a recipe for one of the most commonly consumed meals from Cameroon cuisine. This is grilled fish with “miondo” (made from cassava)
Ingredients Used.
1 Fresh fish
2 Njansa
3 Garlic
4 Parsley
5 Celery
6 Leeks
7 Onion
8 White pepper
9 Seasoning cube
10 Salt.
Process of Preparation.
First, you have to take your fish, remove the scales, intestines, and gills. Washed the fish and used a knife to cut across the fish.
Secondly, prepare your ingredients and blend them. Boil the blended spices with salt and some seasoning cubes.
Thirdly, you can use the oven to grill the fish or use a charcoal pot to roast it or at times I use my frying pan to grill it. Apply the boiled spices to the fish while roasting.
Lastly, I peeled my already cooked “miondo” (smashed cassava already cooked). Put the fish on a plate, and miondo. Cut some onions to garnish with.
Served roasted fish with “miondo”, ready to be consumed.
This is a meal commonly consumed in the coastal region of Cameroon.
