SEC S17W5: The Diary Game: "The ways of life"

Steem greetings all the way from the motherland-Cameroon to all friends of the recreative Steem community. It is yet another awesome week of the engagement challenge and I’m happy to share my ways of life with you all.

The day started on a poor footing because I had a disappointment the previous day with a seamstress. We had another appointment for me to come back today early at 7:30 AM for the dress to be adjusted.

I left the house and was still not sure that the dress will be adjusted to be what I ordered. This is the second time I am having disappointment with making a traditional regalia. I took a cab early in the morning because there was little or no traffic. This road usually from 8:00 AM, traffic is terrible but because it was still early, the road was clear and I took less than 10 minutes to arrive the workshop.

I called her with an angry tune and she pleaded and apologize for the inconveniences. I stood there for almost 30 minutes and she came. We tried adjusting the dress but as I said, it was still not satisfactory. I left the dress with her to figure out what to do either to sell it or do a different dress for me because the I cannot spend that huge amount and unable to wear the dress.

I decided to take a bike to our local food market to buy food stuffs to be cooked on Sunday meal. When I arrived the market, it was so crowded as everyone was busy picking one item or selling. I quickly picked what I wanted and zoomed off back home because I left the house when my kids were still sleeping.

While at home, my husband had already fed the kids and was about leaving the house. I quickly washed the dirty dishes and cleaned the house. The weather was really hot and I took a cold shower and ate some mangoes. The temperatures are so high and we are advised by the ministry of public health to constantly eat fruits, vegetables, drink enough water and take cold baths to cold down and stay hydrated.

I took a napped as I was feeling nerves due to a stressful last night. I napped till evening hours when I heated left over food for us to eat. After eating, my husband asked me to seatback and follow the Chelsea Vs Nottingham Forest game.

We started watching just few minutes of play and we got a call from my mother-in-law’s cousin that she was in a terrible situation and needed urgent medical care. My husband had to rush there while I stayed back with the kids. I can say my day ended in a confused state because of the health challenge of my mother inlaw.
