Steem greetings all the way from the motherland-Cameroon, and welcome to my blog as I present my 10th report as the Steem Representative.

I’m still on vacation but I always create time to do one or two activities on the platform. Below are some of the activities I carried out across the platform within this period as stated above.

Steemit Promotion.

While on vacation, I talked about steemit to some new friends I met in the South West region. Notwithstanding It is pretty hard to see passionate bloggers who are willing to blog without expecting a guaranteed reward.

Amongst the many I talked to about steemit, only one user was willing to create an account. Therefore, for this week, we succeeded to bring in only one new user by name @balikiroger

As for the Steemit workshop I usually hold on Fridays, I decided to put it on hold as I am out of town for two weeks now. Hopefully, when I return back to base, I'll reactivate the workshops to continue spreading the gospel of Steemit to the world.

I am equally planning for a meetup with the new users we introduced on Steemit during our Friday Steemit training. This is because I have noticed that most of the new users we introduced after creating introductory posts, went inactive. I believe that during the meetup, we will be able to understand what their challenges are and how we can propose solutions.

The meet-up will also be an avenue to discuss about the new format of introductory posts by newcomers. Most of them are not yet aware of the new format for verification.

Activities in Steem Cameroon Community.

It is always a routine every week as we meet up online to discuss ways to better managed the community account. During the meet-up, we also discussed on how to nurture new users willing to be moderators in the community for effective and efficient working environment. For the old users we approached to be moderators, none was willing to take the work for personal reasons.

As a plagiarism leader and actively fighting all forms of abuse on the community, I had to ensure that content creators create quality content free from any form of abuse on steemit. There was no plagiarised content recored within the week. We hope steemians continue to create plagiarised free content and proper use of non-copyrighted images.

I reviewed articles within the community on days I was free. It was an opportunity to guide some users on the use of appropriate tags and also avoid unnecessary tagging. I also guide them on effectively using their voting manna and also engage with meaningful comments on other users content.

Contest.

To keep users busy and create original content, I organise a weekly contest “Are Dowries Dehumanizing?”. The price for the contest is 15 SP and for outstanding content, a booming vote to encourage them. The contest was meant to create awareness about the social ills caused by dowries. It was also a medium to learn new cultures across the globe about dowries.

Entries were recorded from Indonesia, Nigeria, Pakistan and India. A total of 9 entries were recorded from the following users:

Content Creation.

Within this period, I was able to create a total of 6 articles. Two of which were engagement challenges in other communities as seen below.

Other contents were the diary games, and the contest winners post.

Support Other Content Creators with @chant Account.

I used my effective Steem power of over 49k to support steemians with quality content on the platform.

Preference was given to authors using the tag burnsteem25. I equally supported other articles across the platform. Over the week, I reached out to 109 accounts and upvoted 176 posts with a CSI score of 14.5.

At this juncture, I have come to the end of my presentation of my weekly activities and hopefully will do better for the upcoming weeks.

Kind regards.

The weight is reduced because of the lack of Voting Power. If you vote for me as a witness, you can get my little vote.

Upvoted. Thank You for sending some of your rewards to @null. It will make Steem stronger.

Thanks for the opportunities you gave to us to write about bride price.. During my research, I found certain things I’d know idea about from my big sister who did her own marriage.

My pleasure to read about your culture and the dowry system.

It's always a pleasure for me to write your post on daily basis, thank you for that wonderful contest on Dowry, it was truly an eye opener for me to know about other people's culture.
