Hello everyone, welcome to week 2, of the challenge. I am happy to participate in this week's challenge in the @colombiaoriginal community. This challenge has been a brain teaser and has improved my thinking. That said, let me proceed to narrate my story about two forest guards (Mr. Tim and Mr. Paul and Mr. Tim’s 12 years son Jayson.

Mr. Tim is a forest guard in Nkomo, an interior village in his country and he is 45years of age. He has a junior colleague Mr. Paul, aged 30. They were sent by their government to guard the forest and protect it from villagers constantly destroying it for farming.

This forest inhabits some endangered species that village hunters have been chasing. The government before sending Mr. Tim there told him to check all endangered species and take the animals to the National park where they will be properly taken care of.

One of the endangered species in the forest was the chimpanzee. This animal has escaped death several times at the hands of village hunters.

Mr. Tim used to work at the National park and was used to interacting with wild animals. His communication skills enabled him to become friends with the Chimpanzee. Each time Mr. Tim visits his family, he discussed his new friend with his son. His son was eager to meet his dad's new friend in the forest.

His family lives in a different city. So he only visits them when he has taken a short break to relax with his family.

His son (Jayson) during his summer vacation decided to spend it with his dad in the forest. He told his dad, that he want to meet his new friend the Chimpanzee. The anxiety to meet the Chimpanzee was high. Jayson could not wait for the day he is traveling to meet his dad. He loves playing with animals when his dad used to work at the National park.

Boom…boom…boom… it was Tuesday 12th June 2019, at about 5:00 pm when Jayson’s dreams come to pass. He was to spend over a month with the dad in the forest. Mr. Tim and the colleague work in shifts. When Mr. Tim is on duty, the colleague is having a rest or cooking or washing dirty clothes.

One afternoon, Mr. Tim was resting because he had worked throughout the night. Jayson was feeling bored since he had slept throughout the night and could not sleep during the day. He decided to follow Mr. Paul to the forest. While Mr. Paul was busy with his work and gave little attention to Jayson.

Jayson then decided to take a walk around the forest alone while eating some bananas. He came across the chimpanzee who was having a rest.

Mr. Tim has been facing challenges with food to feed this animal and was not willing to send the animal to the National park for proper care. He gives food just once a day, that is in the evening hours.

While Mr. Tim was sleeping, he experienced a terrible nightmare about how his son, Jayson was teasing the hungry Chimpanzee with bananas. In the dream, Mr. Paul, Tim’s junior colleague told Jayson to stop it but did not ask him to stay away because when the animal is hungry, it can prey on him. He left but Jayson was still teasing the Chimpanzee.

Mr. Tim woke up from his dream and did not see Jayson. He ran into the forest and was searching for him. He saw Mr. Paul and asked about his son’s whereabouts. Mr. Paul told him he was playing with the Chimpanzee. Mr. Tim was sweating profusely due to the nightmare. He murmured…” I hope it’s just a dream”, and his junior colleague asked him what is he thinking about!!. He received a silent response and Mr. Tim continued with his search.

He walked around the forest with his colleague calling… Jayson… Jayson…where are you??. Behold, they met the Chimpanzee preying on Jayson. The frustration, regret, and anger, were all that could be found on Mr. Tim and his colleague’s faces. Mr. Tim blamed himself for not taking the animal to the National park…Mr. Paul though was feeling bad but had to be brave to console Mr. Tim.
Therefore, a stitch in time serves nine.

I invite @saxopedia, @rudylove @gaciella to participate in this challenge.

Hmm, wish he had the dream earlier, he could have done the needful. But too bad, the dream came while the unfortunate events was already befalling Jayson. Hope we all learn to act swiftly to save situations before they unfold. Nice plot! Well done and good luck with the contest

He will leave a life of regret because he failed to take the animal to the National park as requested by the government. Life lesson is that we should learn to follow instructions on time even if they appear foolish. Thanks for your compliment✌️✌️.

First of all, I want to applause your title
Secondly, I love love love your storyline. Mr. Tim should have been more careful with his son. He should have taken the chimpanzee to the National park.
An animal will forever be an animal, he has a responsibility which is to take care of his son.

Best wishes

He failed to take instructions and it caused him the life of his son. Thanks for reading through my post.

Hi @chant,

I really enjoyed every bit of the story. It is unfortunate that the Chimp preyed of poor Jayson.I blame Mr. Tim for this mess.If only he had taken the Chimp to the National park, this incident wouldn't have happened. It is a lesson for everyone to always do the right things because leaving may be disastrous.

Thanks for reading and I am happy you enjoyed reading through.

It is a life lesson for us to do things at the right time in order not to fall a victim.

One mistake can damage 10s of life, it can take off precious things from us it can even lead to death, so it's very important we save those problem by a stitch at a time.

Exactly, thanks for reading through.
