The Diary Game [12/12/2022]: Curation SC08, My Sister’s 43 Birthday 🎉 Celebration in Rwanda.

Season greetings my esteemed steemians, hope we are all doing good in our various communities. The festive period is around the corner and lots of people are running helter-skelter doing one or two commitments to meet up with the demands of this festive period.

For us in my city, North West region of Cameroon, it is a ghost town. Since 2016, the separatist fighters imposed on the population all Mondays as ghost town. Literally, weekends, especially Saturday is now used as a full work day in many private institutions.

For me this day, I used it to do most of my house chores like cooking and washing dirty dresses. However, since my curation day with the SC08 account is on Mondays, I do most of the chores on Sundays in order to have adequate time to curate.

The account was to be fully charged at 11:24 AM, and I got up early from bed, bath my kids, took my own bath and prepared breakfast for us to eat before I commenced with curation.

While I was doing all the work that early morning, I received a notification from Facebook that it was my sister's birthday. I had to place a video call via WhatsApp to sing for her. My two other sisters, one from Cameroon and the other from South Aftica had traveled to Rwanda to celebrate with her.

It was a joyful moment as her neighbors wake her up early in the morning with a birthday cake. My internet connection started disturbing seriously and I could not do the video call properly. But my sister took pictures of the day and send to me.

After sharing with my sisters happy moments, I had to login to the steemcurator 08 account to curate. The internet connection was just nerving. I restarted the wifi box several times before I was able to curate about 11 articles. Due to the bad internet connection, I spend a lot of time to curate a few articles. I decided to take a plait of our local delicacy “achu and yellow soup” as my lunch for the day.

I then decided to take a break and do other offline activities and continue curation in the evening. I have noticed internet is more stable at night than during the day. I decided to undo my daughter's hair and plait it. This took me till 6:00 PM when I was done with the hair. It was a simple cornrow with no attachments as requested by her school.

I had to heat food and served them dinner and continued with curation. I finished curating at about 9:00 PM, went out door to burn my trash. The company in charge of waste in my city stopped working and now each household is responsible for their waste management. Presently, the only option I have is to burn them up.

I retuned indoors at about 10:00 PM because I had to wait until the dirt burnt completely and I cleaned off the ashes. When I returned indoors, I watched a movie with my husband till midnight before going to bed.
