Weekly Report of Activities as CR for Cameroon from the 30th January 2023-5th February 2023.
Greetings from my motherland, Cameroon, and welcome to my blog as I present to you all my weekly CR report as the steemit country representative.
It was a productive week for me with lots of work done within the steemit platform. Nevertheless, there were some challenges which somehow hinder work progress. The report will cover the period from the 30th of January to the 5th of February 2023.

I was opportune to carry out the following activities within the steem-cameroon community and other communities on the platform; Open investigations on some accounts suspected to be farming accounts, review posts, guide steemians, created articles, curation with Steemcurator08 account and used my account to support steemians contents.
Open Investigation of Suspected Farming Accounts.
The steem-cameroon community witnessed an increase in the number of active users over the week. Over the week, we noticed some accounts posting within the community with unverified introductory posts in the newcomer's community.
We tried to find out from the account users to prove their identification by joining the discord group of the community so we can do a live video call to clarify who was behind those accounts.
Unfortunately, the users did not reply to the messages but rather continued to post in other communities. I will call on the greeters to go through these users' blogs to verify their true identities. Below are the links to the suspected accounts.

This user is posting micro posts and is not yet verified in the newcomer's community. We have asked him to get verified but he did not respond and continued posting micro-posts.

We are also investigating this user as we requested a video call with him on discord but he did not respond but rather posted in other communities. I will request their country CRs to also investigate these users.
MOD Activities in the steem-cameroon Community.
During this period as stated above, I had to review posts in the community. My day of post review was on Friday. Unfortunately, we witnessed blackouts on that day. I had to review on Sunday which was a great opportunity. I went through steemians articles to check the needful and commented on their content.
During the review, I used the opportunity to guide some users who were misusing the club status tags and not applying markdown on their content. I also encouraged newcomers to continue with their achievement program within the newcomer community to better understand how the platform functions.

As a plagiarism leader, it was my duty to check on plagiarism within the community. No plagiarised content was recorded but we noticed some new users posting micro-posts which is an abuse of the system. We hope after commenting on the posts, those users will refrain from such practices.
Curation with SC08 Account.
My curation day was on Monday 30th of January as I used the account to support content creators across several communities.
I strictly followed the curation guidelines of the team 5 curation team. I checked for plagiarism-free content, supported users not using bot buying services and those following either club5050, club75 or Club100.
Within the curation day, several articles were curated as others were skipped due to misuse of club status tags, micro posts, poor presentation of content, use of non-original images without sources, and using of copyrighted images.
Nonetheless, I curated a total of 26 articles. This was done in the morning session and the afternoon session. This was to give some time for the community account to recharge while also allowing other users creating content in the evening to get the opportunity to be supported.
The table below is a summary of the number of articles curated by me with the Steemcurator08 account.
| No. Of Post curated | No. of Comments Curated | Plagiarised Post | No. of Communities | No. of Countries |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 26 | 06 | 00 | 10 | 13 |
Support Other Content Creators with @chant Account.
It was another week for me to support other content creators with my accumulated SP of over 18k. I supported all quality posts posted within the steem-Cameroon community and also supported other good content creators on the platform.
I constantly checked my account VP to ensure I support as many users as possible. Some might see the support as small but I believed that no amount of support is small to support steemians. I started by gathering the smaller support to accumulate the over 18k SP today.
The reason why I always encouraged users to support others with engaging comments and upvotes.
Content Creation.
I created a total of 4 articles within the week. They included a diary game, my weekly CR report, and two engagement posts.
I participated in the Steem for Pakistan engagement challenge where I was able to share some of the beautiful places to visit in the South West region of Cameroon (Limbe). Amongst them were the wildlife centre, the beaches, and the former slave trade centre. Limbe also has varieties of both intercontinental dishes and our delicious local dishes.
Also, I participated in the steem4bloggers engagement challenge. It was an opportunity for me to meet the president and gave out some 3 proposals to help make Cameroon a haven of peace again. To grow my Steem power, I have been dedicated to setting all my posts at 100% power up. This will help grow my account and I will be able to support others.
Future Plans.
- Continue encouraging Steemians to save by setting posts payout at 100% power up.
- I will continue to support steemians especially Cameroonians on Steemit.
- Continue to use the steem-cameroon Twitter account to promote steemit content.
- Continue to guide new users and old inactive users on the platform.
