Share you dreams
Not only to keep yourself motivated, which might be obvious, but also to make sure you are casting the right net. You want to make sure you are being the right kind of fishermen of opportunities.

If you don’t share with others what you want, if you don’t tell people where you want to go. How would they know how to help you? - It might be against your best interest to be a secret agent of your own desires.
Imagine if we used this logic for everything else, if we exaggerated. If I never told a boss I wanted to advance in a company, if I never told my spouse when I was happy, when I was upset. How effective could I possibly be at achieving results? Not effective at all I think.
You would be surprised how many times I shared an idea with someone, a goal I had in mind, only to find me sitting right across the person that could make it happen. Coincidence? Maybe, but it’s also playing a numbers game in the right way. If I told a hundred people I wanted to visit a place, what are the chances someone will not only know the place, but maybe give me a tip, an indication as to how I can get there. Someone who could help me see an opportunity.
So, let's not be secret agents, lets share our dreams with the world. Because you don’t know who just might listen.
Dreams make life colorful and precious, without dreams you have nothing alluring in life, dreams either big or small share with your family or bestie, may be they also motivational for others....

Definitely good for thought. I sometimes keep them to myself in fear of sharing them with the wrong people (ie. nay sayers), I never thought of it from that perspective. I might have to start sharing, just in case!

Shared dreams are way stronger. If you share a dream with somebody, you just tell them, that you really believe in your dream
I agree with this @chbartist but, you know, some people are just acting like they are trying to up while trying to cast one down. Life is dangerous and we don't know whom to trust. But I think like you said casting the right net will do. ( I suppose telling the right people)
I'd like to have your view on this too @chbartist.
