Is Boring Bitcoin Such A Bad Thing?
Hey JessCoiners
So many of us got into cryptocurrency bright-eyed, and though we're going to strike it rich, we're were going to stick it to the man, we were changing the system, we were on the cutting edge. There was so much excitement, but like an 80-year-old with an erection, it quickly waned into obscurity for most of the world. It's time to face facts; Bitcoin has become boring; it been a steady climb and projects have been slow to build while struggling to keep and maintain a user base.
We've seen many projects and scams die in the wind; we see smaller scams still going, we're seeing coins living on outside investment instead of what they raise from the use of their product or the value they provide to attract investors and users.
The volatility is still there and if you want to trade the swings you can, and many are still making money this way, but it just doesn't have the buzz it used to have back in 2017. We can see people have grown tired of waiting for this miracle we promised, talk on crypto sites are down, and many crypto Youtubers have given up.
To most, they see this as a bad thing, that the hype is over, and the ones still in it are delusional and yet haven't realised what others have and moved on.

Is boring such a bad thing?
Personally I think the boring phase has done a lot of good for the market purging all the shitty projects, scams and chance takers and allocating capital to the projects who want to build for the long term. The projects that will lay the foundation for other projects to flourish. I think the boring times is when you need to make strides to invest and learn because you're doing something with high risk and the upside could be massive.
I think the boring brings with it a level of rational thinking, a level of better decision making and a defining your roadmap for projects. If space was flooded with cash we'd see money being wasted on all sort so of garbage as we saw during the ICO boom.
The boring helps rebuild the reputation of cryptocurrency as the focus becomes less on price and more on what we can produce in the space.
So I say, let me stack my boring Bitcoin, let me continue to at Sats in silence and I'm happy to wait it out because I don't see a better game in town that would take my time and capital.
I guess what I'm saying is, I'm happy to be boring.
Have your say

Its better to keep out the emotional hype out of decision making process.

Indeed it is! It’s so funny how people are last time BTC hit 10k people were losing their minds now it creeps to 10k which is insane and no one bats an eye
It's probably about time that it was boring tbh as it allows the real projects to shine through and the garbage ones to fall away. I think it's all part of the "building" process.
Btw, are you entering the Top 3 contest this month? You have until the end of the day to enter 😁
I agree with you but these projects need to get their shit together my man here wants his major gains or new tools I can use, either one but not none
I’ll try and get one in a bit later today
Haha, no pain, no gain!
When it is boring and flat, it is the best time to keep going with the ball!
Lol it sure isn't boring and flat anymore, in fact i long for more boring days
