My depression suggestions
Here's a little advice. Take it or leave it.
You have to be your own advocate. Only you know what you are feeling and what you want to feel.
The road to finding the right meds might be a long one. My friend started her journey and is still on the first one she tried. I've been through 5 now, I think it is.
People will all have opinions about how you should be handling this. Tell them thank you for their suggestions, but right now you are trying something different. You can always keep their suggestions in your back pocket.
It may take a couple of different meds to work. I am on an anti-depressant AND an anti-anxiety med. I also take a medication to help me sleep.
Speaking of sleep, you may want to think about working on a schedule, as much as you can, to ensure you get enough sleep at night. I know it can be hard with a kid, but sleep is one of the biggest things you can offer your body.
Experiment with other things, like oils, no caffeine, limiting Facebook, etc. if you want. Make sure to keep a journal of it, though, so you can take that to your doc. There is nothing wrong with adding in alternative methods for healing. Just check with your doc on supplements you want to try, in case there are medication counteractions.
Again, take it or leave. These are from my experiences.
