A healthy and delicious snack: Sago Porridge (साबूदाना खिचड़ी)
When we are all at home with our family and there is no option to go out, then cooking and eating different types of food can be a good way to keep the mind and body happy and healthy.
Cooking and eating something new every day is not less than a challenge, but when cooking is a hobby, accepting the challenge is more fun.
Sago Khichdi and Lassi
Sabudana Khichdi is an authentic Indian dish mostly popular in western India. It is prepared by soaking sago in water for an hour and saute with various spices and tomatoes, onion etc. Recipes here
Lassi is a very popular curd based drink in India and subcontinent. It is made by mixing yogurt with sugar, rose syrup, dryfruits etc.
Seasonal fruit pulp like mango, strawberry etc can be added to make fruit lassi. Mango lassi is more popular in summer season.
Sometimes it is also made salty.
Lassi is also considered a very good probiotic drink in summer.
Traditionally it is a non vegan drink made by animal milk curd but here I prepared with peanut milk curd. It comes out so delicious and satisfying as it is cruelty free.
