CONTEST ALERT; Examination Malpractice

You all know your steemain @chiagoziee for #Nigeria, a pleasure being here to share my ideas on this contest. Examination malpractice is not a legal act and should be stopped with immediate effect; the generation we live in does not like to suffer in life, and this is what contributes to examination malpractice.

What do you understand by examination malpractice?

Examination malpractice can be defined as an illegal or dishonest act that involves students gaining an unfair advantage age during an examination,n which is also known as cheating. This act is not encouraging at all. If students continue in this, act, they will become a shame to society. The act is usually done by stealing question papers, obstructing exam supervisors, and making use of phones and textbooks.

Examination malpractice is usually caused by inadequate spacing of students during exams, inefficient invigilators, and poor examination conduct. Some students are wise and may tend to distract the teacher while their friend is doing malpractice for them to copy from that friend.

Do you believe examination practice comes with consequences? list them

There are always consequences that follow good and bad behavior and they are consequences for examination malpractice which are;

Discouragement

Malpractice discourages hardworking students from being serious and makes them play with the future; when malpractice is done, it makes the student feel that it will not stop, which will cause students to always look for means of generating new malpractice strategies.

Lack of trust

If malpractice is not stopped in schools, it will ruin the educational system and make parents not trust the system. The lack of trust malpractice brings to education will make people feel that school has no value or ideology.

Less enrollment

If a school is highly known for its indulgence in examination malpractice, it will decrease the addition of students because there will hardly be people who will want their children to attend such a school because of this act, which can stop the future of students.

Have you ever engaged in this practice, or do you know someone (a student) who engaged in this?

To be honest, I have engaged in examination malpractice, but this malpractice was not in which I required any help with stolen question papers; I was helping my friend Mathias with answers to questions; after the examination, he took 3rd, and I took 4th position in class. After we saw the results, I immediately decided to go and show my class teacher that it was a mistake because my scores and points were above his own.

I learned my lesson that examination malpractice is not good, but writing an exam with malpractice is not easy because you are not expected to know all. As good as good, law-abiding people should try and say no to examination malpractice.

I have promised myself that I will never practice examination malpractice ever again because it is not just.

1. Stealing question papers is one of the common ways used to carry out examination malpractice because it's more guaranteed that you will pass the exam. This act is likely done by students who do not value education at all. This act is also used by students who are intelligent enough to know the answer to the question after seeing the examination question papers.

2. The use of a book is mostly common because when students make use of a notebook during an examination, they know that it is not hard because they know the book and they are guaranteed a successful examination.

3. Students know that teachers are more attracted to students who tend to cause distraction during examinations. So they give them more attention, which makes it easier for their classmates to indulge in examination malpractice.

What are ways to curtail the increase in examination practice?

There are a lot of ways that we can use to end examination malpractice for good. First, we have to ensure that we know the attitude of students who are capable of combating examination malpractice and also try to check everyone about to enter the examination hall.

We should make sure that we supervise the examination properly because a lot of students are always ready for malpractice; students who are caught in this act should be punished in such a way that no one will ever indulge in examination malpractice again. Students should also be taught about the disadvantages of examination malpractice because it will help discourage them from the act.
