Before I continue on my achievement 3 post which is on plagiarism, I will say that this platform, especially this Community are doing a great job in welcoming the newcomers, and I am happy to be under such an amazing set of people.
Here are what you need to know about Plagiarism
What is plagiarism?
This is the act of copying another man's work, act, ideas, creativity, and presenting it as your own especially without being permitted by that person.
Here are some various types of plagiarism
Mosaic Plagiarism:
In the Mosaic form of plagiarism, You copy phrases from the source without using quotation marks. It is really very dangerous, because it is punishable by law.
Self Plagiarism:
Yes we equally have what is called self plagiarism, where you would submit exactly your previous work or include some parts of your previous post. No matter the angle you look at it from, it will still be plagiarism and it's equally really dangerous.
Unintentional or Accidental Plagiarism:
Unintentional Plagiarism as the name implies, is done by mistake of neglecting to cite your source. And it is punishable by law despite the fact that it is unintentional.
Direct Plagiarism:
This is a deliberately act of copying some elses works without any form of Changes or difference. And it is equally punishable by law, because it's like an act of stealing.
CONCLUSION
Which means anything that is not yours in this platform or anywhere else, you should try very hard to cite or include it's source and avoid plagiarism.
So far so good, I have read and understood the Steemit Etiquette on Steemit Community and will do my best to embrace them.
