The diary game (11/4/25)// A joyful day well spent
REINSTATED BACK TO WORK
Good evening dear STEEMIT members,I bring you greetings from Nigeria. Hope you all are doing well. I'm super excited to share with you all how I spent my day. Stay tuned and enjoy the flow.
I woke up at 7am and saw a missed call. I planned to return the call later, then my boss called me and I picked, she just said congratulations I'm so happy for your reinstated back to work. I am so happy because for the past 3 months I was amongst those who where asked to stop work due to the USAID waiver issues or so. It destabilized me but I kept on going even without pay. My passion for humanity never changed. So I'm happy to be fully back and resumption is Monday. This is a good news for my family and colleagues.
So I quickly fed my baby and bath him, toasted bread and served with tea for our breakfast. I did the dishes and decided to try out something new today. I have been seeing a DIY videos on Instagram on how to control dust and luckily I have all the ingredients at home so I made it and sprayed on the furnitures and wiped with a soft towel. I also cleaned all the doors in the house and they were shining. It made me really happy.

After the cleaning I had my bath and rested a little then drank youghurt with my kids and played with them for a while.
Since I will be resuming officially on Monday, I needed to make some soups in large quantities to refrigerate so that it will be easy for me to cook our meals and by 3:30pm I drove to the market.
By 4:30pm I was done and saw the clouds changing, I knew it was going to get very windy so I called my husband to alert him to pack the clothes on the line and also closed the windows. As I was driving the place became very windy and dusty, had to put on the head lamps and drove gently till I got home safely around 5 pm.
I unpacked the foodstuffs I bought and began to sort them and proceeded to cooking.
I prepared okro soup and made sweet potato swallow for dinner, served the kids first and ensured the ate well, then bath them and set them off to bed. Before my husband and I had ours.
Did the dishes, cleaned up package the remaining soup into the freezer. Also made another pot of egusi soup, left it in the pot to cool over night before I package in the morning and put in the freezer.
Had my bath and prepared for sleep. Came online to steemit, read other people's diary and then posted mine.
I'm so tired tonight because of the stressful work I did but it's worth it.
Thank you for reading and good night. Till my next blog.
