1. Describe in your own words, the main advantages and disadvantages (pros and cons) of NFT Games in relation to other types of games.

NFT is an acronym that stands for Non Fungible Tokens. NFTs are tokens that are unique in the sense that there's no other exact copy of it in existence. Its value can't be broken down into units and does not have the same value as any other thing, unlike money.

NFT games are games where players are allowed to accrue rewards and these rewards are treated as NFT tokens that have actual value in the blockchain network . Some advantages of NFT games include;

• Players stand a chance to win assets during the course of playing a game: Players get rewards while playing a game and these rewards represent assets with real value which a player could sell-off through different means and earn.
• Huge revenue opportunity for game owners: The gaming industry already generates considerable revenue as a lot of people enjoy games as a form of relaxation. Imagine a situation whereby rewards in a game could have an actual value that could grow over time. This is more traffic for game owners and an opportunity to earn higher rewards.
• Another opportunity for investors: Just as is stated above, the NFT gaming industry seems to have huge potential for growth with incentives offered, giving investors an avenue to invest in as they grow.
• Assets earned by a player in the game belong to the player even if the gaming company shuts down since it is recorded on the blockchain. This provides a sense of security to the players and an incentive to play.

Disadvantages

• Effect on the environment: Minting of these Tokens could have really adverse effects on the environment as the process of mining in the proof of work blockchain network requires a heavy amount of energy. In the present day when there's a lot of concerns about the ecosystem, this may serve to further deteriorate things.
• Game quality: With the rising rave about NFT games, game owners may not be challenged to make the game interesting enough as they know NFT incentives offered are enough to draw people in. People may abandon playing games for the fun of it and just focus on incentives they can get from the game. In this case, it's not really growth in the gaming industry and doesn't really tally with the main purpose of games.
• The value of assets gotten from NFT games may topple over time and players are left with nothing. It is speculated that NFTs are just unnecessarily hyped and the bubble around it may burst soon.

Grimes, a well-known artist, and musician, in a recent move, auctioned digital artworks from her War Nymph collection and was able to make a whopping sum of about $5.8 million in sales using Nifty Gateway. The sales were done strategically, fixing different prices for different items for the collection and even including a chance for enthusiasts who didn't have enough funds to participate through raffle tickets.

Lindsay Lohan an actress, singer, and entrepreneur, was able to pull off massive sales of about $85,000 by selling tokenized art with music titled "lullaby" via Fansforever. She worked with Manuel Riva for the sound.

Paris Hilton sold a digitized hand-drawn portrait of her cat for 40ETH, which translated to about $17,000 as at when it was sold. This was her first NFT sold and the proceeds were donated to charity.

Jack Dorsey, the CEO of Twitter, decided to tokenize his first-ever tweet and make it into an NFT. He auctioned it via "valuables" by cent and it went for about 2.9 million nairas which he donated to charity, which was the Give Directly's Africa's response fund for covid-19 relief.

Well-known rapper, Snoop Dogg, who has been phenomenal to the entertainment industry and has received a lot of awards over time, also decided to embrace NFTs earlier this year.

The collection, "A journey with the Dogg" was about Snoop's was what its name depicted. A walk through Snoop's earlier years. One-piece, "death row"sold for about $108,000.

WavesDuck is an NFT based game that lets players collect tokenized in-game digital duck images which can be sold to yield profit.

People earn "eggs", during the course of the game, which is its native token. This they use to purchase other objects in the game. Ducks come in different varieties, the "genesis duck", "bred duck", "sterile duck" and "jackpot duck" each of which can be gotten using different means.

"Eggs" can be acquired in-game rounds and one can grow his eggs using different means like farming. The eggs are hatched to get the genesis ducks. This is like the lowest level of ducks. The ducks can be bred to obtain other rarer and more valuable ducks which offer higher yields as time goes on.

Players could sell their ducks in the market through different means and could also stake their ducks and earn EGG tokens.

The Waves Duck has launched on the Waves blockchain, which seems to consume lesser energy than the ethereum network, hence an added advantage. The Waves ecosystem was founded by Sasha Ivanov, successfully integrating NFTs and hence Defi, in the world of gaming.

Hence, many people get to participate in the NFT trend through a means as easy to understand as gaming.
In April, the first wave duck, "perfection" was sold at $1 million on SIGN Art. This was huge, especially as it wasn't done on the Ethereum network, which is usually the network used for most NFT minting. Simply locate the EGG token in the list of Defi tokens. EGG is usually exchanged with other cryptocurrencies in the market.

In other, for you to purchase the EGG using your Credit card. Take your mouse pointer to the EGG row, go to the fourth icon at the end, you will see a write up that will come out say “Buy with Card” Select it

Select credit card, and enter the amount of USD you want to buy. But I selected 100USD. It will quickly show the amount in the EGG token. Then click Buy below EGG

It will then redirect you to another page.asking you for card details, enter your card detail, and select pay.

CONCLUSION

Honestly, with this particular topic I feel very proud to be a member of the steem community. This Topic has taught me a lot of new stuff that I didn’t even know in the past. My understanding of the NFT game really increased. I now know that NFT has so many integrations. With NFT games, all the common e-sports gaming industry can be taken away, though it is still starting with time it will be massive in the gaming industry. Honestly, I will really like to play it. And I love playing games.
