Hey Steemit!!

I've been lurking for some time and finally got the courage to post and say hey. Saw Tara's post earlier and made me feel right at home. It's not that I want want to per say add to the girly content that we are missing, sure I'll contribute, hey I am a girl. But I'm also not so much techy as nerdy.

I got into dogecoin a few years back and now mainly bitcoin, although dogecoin even had me yelling at T.V. watching Nascar of all things. #98!! , so there is forever a soft spot for a lady shibe. I do agree though when girls see topics that they can relate to , we feel more inviting comfortable joining in the conversation. I 'll do my best to help foster that environment too, while adding some of my own nerdy flare.

I so too will spend less time on FB, and more time with my new friends at Steemit instead! Happy to have met you, hope to be part of this awesome new community.

I hope the verification is legible (pen) , and if you don't think I'm all that nerdy, well look at what I did today.

    Steemit has been beyond wonderful to me, despite the rocky start i had. it was a little scary being one of the only women 4 weeks ago. The official percentages at that time was 87% male 13% female. But now that I'm a Queen dolphin and have calmed down, brought tons of friends here (male and female), have mentors and mentees, I feel really lucky. You'll do well! Turn your facebook addiction into real money. It's a no brainer. I'm glad you finally did the reveal.

    Thanks for the nice welcome! I hope to someday be lucky enough to be dolphin royalty. Any idea what the current percentage is for males/females now? FB is going the way of the dino, thanks again for such an awesome hello!

    I was only aware of 2 women when I first started.... Me and the mummy blog were the only ones who blogged. Why is it scary to be online with a large group of men? Just checking to see if your reasons are same as mine

    I think for me it's just a comfortability factor and that I would be received well, in a realm that's mainly all boys....and I KNOW! I was looking around last night and we're so not alone :) To maybe provide a bit more context, i'm a huge gamer, mainly XBox if anyone was curious.. There are lots of games I love to pay, the more aggressive though or the most male oriented I tend to leave my mic off, cause well, it can be pretty horrible sometimes.

      Me too! I've been browsing, a friend at work, is talking about it all the time. So it wasn't till I saw some recent posts from some other ladies, where I was like, hey me too!! so here I am :)

        Well it was more of a color fun run and walk. It rained, so that was nice, but what a mess. The car is a mixture of coloured baking powder and glitter. haha
