Achievement 2: Basic Security On Steem

Security is a way one can put a preventative measure to ensure that funds are safe and secured.
Basic security in steem is how I can protect my Steem account, is by putting a proper measure to ensure that my master password is kept safe and secured knowing that i can not recover my account if I loose my master password and owner key.

HAVE YOU RETRIEVE ALL YOUR KEYS ON STEEMIT?

Yes, I have retrieved all my keys. When I signed up on steemit a master password was given to me which I used to login to my steemit.com wallet and retrieved all my keys which are these; Posting key, Active key, Owner key and Memo key.

DO YOU KNOW EACH OF THESE KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESTRICTIONS?

Yes, although these keys are different from each other and they are used for different functions for example,
i Master password - Master password is used to create all other keys for my account including owner key. Master password is used for account recovery so I ensure that nobody gains access to my master password because that can lead to lost of tokens in my steemit account.

ii Posting key - Posting key is a key that enables me to login to my steemit account and publish a post, comment, edit, vote, resteam, follow or mute accounts. Anytime I login to do any task I ensure that when I finish I exit my account to avoid hackers gaining access to my account.

iii Active key - Active key helps me to transfer funds, power up and power down transactions, convert steem Dollars, vote for witnesses, update account settings for example my profile and place a market order.

iv Owner key - Owner key is used to reset all the keys including owner key. Owner key is as important as master password losing these two keys will mean losing everything in my account including my tokens. I have also taken a measure to store these keys offline and keep it safe.

v Memo key - Memo key is used for private messaging to encrypt and decrypt messages sent and received via my steemit account.

HOW DO YOU PLAN TO KEEP YOUR MASTER PASSWORD?

Since there is no way to recover my account if I loose my master password and owner key I therefore used a digital device to save it offline, I also added an external hard drive as well as a hard copy printed on a paper.

DO YOU KNOW HOW TO TRANSFER YOUR STEEM TOKEN TO ANOTHER STEEM USER ACCOUNT?

Yes, I can transfer my steem to another user account using the following steps:
I have to first login to my steem account using my posting key;
Then click on profile at the top right corner of my page, click on wallet page, click on steem balance, the arrow next to it.
Then click on transfer, type the username of the account I want to send the steem to.
I must check to ensure that the username is well spelt.
Then I enter the amount of steem I want to transfer. It is optional to state the purpose of transaction.
Then click Next
The I enter my master password or active key. Below is an example of the attachment;

DO YOU KNOW HOW TO POWER UP YOUR STEEM?

Yes, to power up mean I want to convert my steem to steem power from my wallet page,
