I dislike YouTube and now don’t tend to visit the site much

Hello steemIt users so today I’m discussing why I dislike YouTube i am in no way bashing YouTube i believe YouTube is an amazing platform for creators
My problem with YouTube is not just YouTube itself it’s the creators too so let’s get right into the topic.

LACK OF REVENUE FOR SMALL CREATORS
Unlike DTube YouTube is all about numbers and people take advantage of this by “click baiting” videos. Click bait (means when a user lured you into somthing that isn’t what the title suggests) an EXAMPLE I upload a video let’s say it’s a Fortnite video and the title is how to get free Vbucks but in the video I mention nothing or show how to do it that’s click bait. You are misleading viewers. And unfortunately this damages smaller creators who produce maybe not high quality work unlike the big youtubers but still work at their best and give their best to make good content and it’s getting harder with all the click bait and weird trending videos that shouldn’t be trending at all.

YOUTUBE DRAMA
Yes I’m talking about all the childish drama (KSI, Logan Paul, Sidemen and countless other big stars). Now I understand their are drama channels out there that make content based on YouTube news but for the last 2-3 years it’s gotten very out of hand a huge example of this is the (ksi vs Logan Paul feud) there’s a real lack of respect for creators and YouTube is becoming very toxic with it all being about drama. I personally think it’s needs to be monitored.its annoying seeing recommendation videos being drama related.

SMALLER CREATORS LEAVING THE PLATFORM
So some smaller youtubers with less subscribers are starting to post content on other platforms such as steemIts DTube as DTube is a growing and a very good service for creators and their are others but overall some smaller youtubers are uploading less and less because again referring to Drama. The YouTube drama is pushing out smaller creators.

GREEDY CREATORS
Click bait, making longer videos even though there is no need, flooding videos with ads. These are all problems on YouTube where a creator would make a video but try and get it over the 10 minute mark and put as many ads as possible in the video For example let’s take YouTuber (MRBOSSFTW) he is a gaming youtuber that focuses on Rockstar games titles (GTA, Red Dead Redemption). Now why a lot of people dislike this youtuber is because he makes a video on topics he’s already covered and secondly recently made a video about “how to make money on red dead online” and I did watch the video and I noticed he only mentioned 3 ways to make money and he spent 4-5 mins on each topic even though it wasn’t needed he purposely over explains and drags out videos so every upload is over the 10 minute mark PLEASE NOTE THIS IS JUST AN EXAMPLE THEIR ARE MANY MORE CREATORS GUITLY OF THIS

Well that’s my explanation for why I dislike YouTube and rarely use it. There are amazing creators that work hard on the platform but I think YouTube is becoming more and more disliked over these issues.

Thank you very much for reading my post as always I would love to hear you’re feedback so feel free to comment below.

Have an amazing rest of the weekend 🦇

I 100% agree, but there are still some creators that aren't greedy. The ones I know of work on Youtube as their jobs and they don't seem to be making that much. I'll let you know if you're interested.

Hello there 🦇 I agree with you their are honest creators but they are hard to find as the greedy ones are on top I watch some smaller YouTubes but I’m interested in horror story’s so I watch people like Mrnightmare Darknessprevails and lhama arts. There are other youtubers I watch that talk out about steemIt too I’m just not interested in gaming and drama based creators
