What can we learn from a flock of birds?
Hi Everyone,
Have you ever seen a flock of birds flying around in a big group? Amazing coordination. The dance, flight direction, and choreograph are all breath-taking. Some species can form enormous flocks - up to tens of thousands strong.
What is even more mind-boggling is that everyone seems to know what to do and where to go. Flying around harmoniously without collision. No CEOs, no Directors, no VPs, no Team Leaders, no Supervisors, no Managers, no organized hierarchies. How do they do that?
How about us? If we are tasked with a project with a large group of people, what is the first thing we do? Organize the team into groups or do we let everyone "fly freely"?
Say, if you are with a team of 50,000 volunteers who are tasked to complete a jigsaw puzzle with 1,000,000 pieces in a huge sport stadium. How do you go about it?
