Color Challenge: 48"x60" Yellow Forest Painting, "Intuition"

In 2014, I created my first series for a solo exhibition that I called "Roots." This is one of the large forests artworks that came out of the collection. I painted these during a time when I was uncertain of my path in life in many ways. I had just graduated with a degree in art and was also asking many questions in regards to my beliefs. This piece called, "Intuition," deals with not knowing for certain the best choice, but sometimes you just have to go with your gut. There are several paths that seem like equally good choices to take in this scene.

One thing about large painting is that they tend to hang around awhile. It actually sold a few months ago, but it's had a number of temporary homes since then.

I really like the tree painting you did! I love how you painted the background with that warm gradient to symbolize the sun shining. Great work! Keep it up @christiesnelson

Very nice colors! I made something similar with watercolor but it was pretty bad!!! I might post it at a later post (ノ゚0゚)ノ~

You know I love these!
