''The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly''
To put this simple, Satan comes that he might destroy life wherever he can and in the end make it eternally miserable.
The devil does not only stop at deceiving you, he will also kill everything that has life around you, and then destroy your soul in hell. That's the summary of his mission, as given by our Lord Jesus Christ.
To put it in a word, Satan is blood-thirsty. Christ came into the world that we might have life and have it abundantly
Jesus said to those who were planning to kill him, “You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has nothing to do with the truth'' .
John says, “Do not be like Cain, who was of the evil one and murdered his brother”
From all these testimonies, we know the aim of the devil. I just pray God gives us the grace to stand firm in the faith, resisting the devil. Amen.
