in #indonesia7 years ago

Hellow Steemit Fellows 😉

This is my first post using steempeak, because I couldn't find a way to make esteemapp works after posted my second CrapWed😢. I found out that I can insert multi pictures all at once and with my inexperience on using Steempeak, I arranged the reverse of time pictures were taken😆 Let's start from the end of the story then 😆

we decided to walk home together and I stopped by to enjoy the citrusy scent of frangipani

The party is over but the general election committee still need to count the ballots. It was around 4.PM and they're done counting the President and the Senators ballots.

So, only committees, witnesses and several people who curious about the result, though the quick count result already broadcasts on TV channels and all over social medias like facebook, whatsapp chat, instagram, online news. People will always put their attention to things around their neighborhood, right?

Actually I came to that place to find my man😊 I haven't seen him since I wake up this morning.

No, He's not the member of the election committe, he is just one of that curious people who likes to follow the process. I laughed at his right hand which covered by ink. He said he splashed the ink as part of enjoying the democration party😤 only hand, I was a bit confuse when I saw the ink at the back of My FIL's white shirt😯 what's happened with these guys?

our neighborhood's chief of RT 03/ RW 13 Pamulang Estate, Mr. Herman and his treasurer, Priest Samuel were checking on the ballot, shout out what they see , so the man behind them can write in down to the cummulative planos on the board.

The process has started from 1.30 pm right after 1600 voters done their rights to vote. I can't imagine how hectic they felt when opening the papers and try to find the name of people they wanted to vote on and there were 5 big wide papers like that😨.

this committees still working on the national senator ballots, this one also an additional block for those who are not listed on the fix voters list but has the documents and rights to vote.

The witnesses still watching the process patiently, because it's part of their duties to ensure the process is conducted properly according to the law and regulations.

took this alamanda picture at the street separator before entering the community field.

This is what I like to do when I walked alone to a place around the neighbourhood. I like the flowers that planted there.

this beautiful amarilys belongs to a neighbour, I used to see it located on the cement fence, but today it was on the side of the street so I can get a better pictures.

Look at the entrance gate to the vote blocks😊 it feels like you are welcome to enjoy the party.

The banners to invite the voters, the ornaments made from the shoot parts of coconut leaves, we call it "gaba-gaba Janur Kuning" something that you usually find in any parties in Indonesia, especially Java.

on my way to the end of the street, the people's party location at RW 13, Pamulang Estate, South Tangerang, Banten, Indonesia.

April 17th, 2019 is a general election day for Indonesian people. We will vote for President, Senators, National Legislative members, Provincial legislative members and district legislative members. The biggest party a long the general election history in our Republic and perhaps in the world. More than 180 million voters will use their rights.

I have no rights to vote at the neighborhood because I didn't prepare the particular documents to change the place to give vote, but I do have that rights if I went back to my hometown in Lhokseumawe. My ID were issued there and I have no intention to change it too. So.. I decided to not using my rights to vote but I use my rights not to vote😊 I'm not proud of it anyway. I am not an apolitics too😊 but I refused to ruin my happy life by regretting my choice for next 5 years.

When I woke up around 10 am this morning, hubby was not around😊 He must be there, use his rights to vote. He's a loyal and rational supporter of a president candidate and a famous national party. He's a nationalist, so there's no way he would let the party without his participation😊.

I've done my second post and I didn't see him coming home to has his lunch (no cooking today, FIL asked me to order the food through the online food services). Then I decided to check on the people's party at the neighbourhood. There are 1.600 voters who came to enjoy the party and it will be too dangerous for me if I joined them too while I'm not on the list😆 so I just take a little walk to find My Hubby, to take him home 😅😅😅😆😆😆

Tell me.. how you enjoy this kind of crappy post? Thanks anyway for stopping by😊 The incumbent candidate still winning the votes at RW 13😉

Sort:

The yellow flowers in the first picture are my moms favorite. She has it tattooed on her ankle. I also exercise my right not to vote. It’s funny because when I was younger I was very opinionated about politics and casting my vote for who I deemed to be the right candidate but now I don’t partake any longer. In fact I’ll never vote again… 🤦🏼‍♀️ Haha.

I bet your mom knews the story behind the name of "frangipani" too @puravidaville 😉 the most precious flower after lotus in a particular belief and tradition.
I only use my vote 2 times from 5 chances😊 first for governor's election (local election in Aceh) and then president's election in 2014. I never wanted to use my rights just because I have to. I will vote again one day when I found a good candidate who deserves to have my precious vote😊

I like your voting philosophy. I want to know the story behind that flower too now. Do you know it?

What is the political situation in Indonesia?
If you know a little bit about the political situation in Japan, you know that it is the worst in the past😵
I know a little about Duterte because his in the Philippines has a lot of radical performance, but is Indonesia's politics good?
