Mary Poppins inservice for preschool teachers
Last night I went to a inservice called Mary Poppins 14 rules for classroom management. it's on pintrest if anyone is interested.
But since it was only a 2 hour inservice it was focused on Mary Poppins bag.

The instructers had this big bag and kept pulling things out of it. Things like gloves,a mask,a mirror and many other things. It was almost like a bottomless bag. The instructor kept pulling more and more stuff out of it. I am still wondering how she got that fan in it. It had to be battery operated.
The focus was on setting up a teachers prop bag to be able to gain or keep the childrens attention on what we are doing in the classroom. And the thing is the prop bag is only for the teacher to use. Example: You are reading a story and you notice the children are starting to lose their attention span on the story. So you take something out of your prop bag to help get their attention back on the story.
The idea behind the prop bag is giving yourself items to help keep the children focused on the task they are doing.
That's a creative idea. I loved Mary Poppins as a kid and her magic bag. I could see that being useful with really little kids.
I am going to get stuff for my bag this weekend
I'm a kindergarten teacher, I'm doing it as well. A big bag or a box that I call it Magic box. This will get the children attention and they really enjoy with the things out from the bag or box. Chilldren is cute and curious about things
Yes they are. You should of seen them when we planted carrot seeds yesterday.
That's lovely activity. We planted onion at school. They really love it :)
