Feelings are our friends!
Feelings are the indicator of who we are. Every single feeling, every emotion shape up our personality. Feelings are the ultimate truth. Treating feelings as a potential enemy is very harmful. But most of us don't recognize that.
If we feel sad, sometimes we feel that this is not the perfect time to experience sadness and we force ourselves to feel better. It's a common practice no matter what the culture is. You see, we try to hide feeling, we try to run away from it and thus we make our feelings as our enemy.
There's no need to mention how unhealthy and self-destructing this practice is. A sudden emotional reaction can make us uncomfortable but it helps to gain self-worth. We have to learn to make a good connection with thyself to befriend our feeling, every type of it. Only good feeling is not 'good', there are many goods in 'bad' feelings also. But before that, we must know feelings are our friend not our enemy.
First, be gentle with yourself. Be kind and take good personal care. Embrace every feeling. Talk with your inner self to know it and improve the connection.
Live the true inner feeling. Don't pretend to thyself. If you are feeling sad inside, accept it.
Go ahead with your feeling. Sadness can tear us down but we need to go on with all our feeling. Don't give control to those feelings to run you.
Improve your emotional connection. Know every bit of feeling, why, how and when. Thus we can make it work to befriend our feeling.
Moreover, feeling allows us to keep going, to shine bright. It makes us feel good at the end of the day.
So, making some of it our enemy and not knowing or staying away from some of it can be a foolish work. Remember, we have to face our inner self and we can't pretend for long. So, it's better to learn and befriend with every feeling.
