Steemit Prices Plummeting
Following the much anticipated (and widely hyped) bitcoin fork, I have watched with amazement as both forks have experienced renewed and sustained growth. Yeah, BCH had a hiccup, but it now seems to be steadily headed north.
I have been disappointed watching Steemit while these other currencies skyrocket. We have dropped under a dollar.
Many of you have been around a while. You have seen the dips before. Any thoughts on what is causing this steep drop? Are people powering down to get on on the BCH train? This doesn't look like a classic pump and dump. So I am guessing there is just migration to other currencies with all the hype (and related growth).
I plan to stick it out. But it is disappointing to watch Steem slip into oblivion. Seemingly. Feel free to offer some perspective.
As i said few time, first reason is Poloniex problem to deposit steem and withdrawal steem. look my picture here. you can see its Poloniex who really fuck the steem price. People should use Bittrex now thats better....
My plan is to add on dips not much but painless amounts. Word is barley out on what this platform is so its gonna take time. I'm the only crypto enthusiast I actually know. If applications like dtube are successful news and users will come. So for now a dip is a buy op, crypto millions are ahead!
On the bright(er) side the steem price is only approximately where it was when I first signed up a bit over two months ago.
On the darker side this downward trend is rather worrying and will be very offputting to people who have just joined, and those thinking of joining.
I am sure it is very very disheartening for so many new players to see their upvotes register $0, and to be making posts with zero rewards.
I know some of the big players help the minnows in a whole range of ways, but it needs a mega effort from the mega players to really start spraying the votes on the hoards of little minnows just entering the steemit ocean.
I see big dropout rates at the moment. That is a big downer. Each one of those people that leave might tell 10 others "Don't bother with steemit, it was a total waste of time, I never earnt a cent".
I know it is not all about the money, but unfortunately that is the main message in most of the steemit promotion out there.
We all need to adopt a baby minnow or five and help them through the stormy waters ahead.
