Beware! The Gospel is Not For Sale

The prime focus of the Messiah was to carry out the mission of preaching the Gospel to the poor; giving healing to the brokenhearted, preaching deliverance to the captives, recovering of sight to the blind and setting at liberty them that are bruised.

He never thought of amassing wealth for himself neither did he dreamt of taking honour or glory for himself but to see that God's will is prevailed in the life of humanity.

As selfless as He was, he denied himself of all privileges and took upon himself the nature of a servant and served mankind. All these were done just to see that the Gospel travel far so that those who are far and near may see the perfect light of God to be saved.

He worked tirelessly preaching the Gospel each day in cities, towns and villages. He appointed disciples and entrusted them with the task of carrying the Gospel to all creations in every nooks and crannies of the world.

The early disciples of Jesus Christ did a great job carrying out the divine mandate of the Lord after He had left. They neither thought about their life, what they will eat, wear or will gain in return, neither did they fear death but shared the Gospel in many places were they threatened their life.

Today we are reaping the fruit of their labor. We print the scriptures that many laid down their life to protect and take money, we sell the Gospel using different kinds of meduims, we compose songs using this Gospel for money, we prophecy the words of this Gospel and declare it's power and in turn we get rewarded.

Scriptural truth are now twisted and messages diluted to just to please men instead of rebuking them to bring them into repentence.

The early disciples who will only stand for the truth irrespective of the danger but many of today's preahcers of the Gospel will act otherwise.

For the sake of money, fame and vain glory, they don't preach the truth but the enthicing words of man only to please man and not God. They love money than to see souls saved, it's very pathetic to see the path where the sheep under such preachers are heading to.

These are the enemies of the Gospel whose judgements awaits them if they fail to change their ways. We all have more work to do else our judgement will be extremely severe.

For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God.... 1 Peter 4:17

We have more sacrifices to make to see the Gospel reach every corner of the world and not just be interested in selling it. We have more intercessions to make for lost souls and an undying commitment just to carry out the divine assignment of our Lord Jesus Christ.
