Sin No More

But the scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in adultery. After setting her before them, they told him, “Teacher, this woman has been caught in the very act of adultery. Now in the Law, Moses commanded us to stone such women to death. What do you say?” They said this to test him, so that they might have a charge against him. But Jesus bent down and began to write on the ground with his finger. When they persisted in questioning him, he straightened up and told them, “Let the person among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” Then he bent down again and continued writing on the ground. When they heard this, they went away one by one, beginning with the oldest, and he was left alone with the woman standing there. Then Jesus stood up and asked her, “Dear lady, where are your accusers? Hasn’t anyone condemned you?” “No one, sir,” she replied. Then Jesus said, “I don’t condemn you, either. Go home, and from now on don’t sin anymore.”John 8:3-11

Sin does nothing to our life but deprive us of God's goodness and His gifts. Sin one the greatest tools that Satan uses to separate us from God.

If he can make you commit sin and continue living in sin then he can have the right to accuse you before God and give reasons why Gos must condemn you or cast you away from His presence.

Today I share with you a scripture in the Gospel of John about a woman who was caught in adultery. The scribes and the Pharisees accused her of catching her in the act and condemned her as the worse sinner ever lived.

Their impatience and cruelty made them want to subject her into instant judgement. They brought her before Jesus, accused her and wanted to stone her but Jesus objected to their action.

They themselves were sinners and were not different from the woman. Jesus who knlew their heart delievered the woman from their devilish scheme but warned her to discontinue sinning now that she has found grace.

If there is no sin satan will have no grounds to accuse us before God and that is one reason we must stop sinning completely. We must not sin becuase of the grace we have found in Christ.

Grace will never abound if we continue to live in sin. We will rather be deprived of grace and be condemned if we continue sinning.
